Bruce worked with the cult for years and that's where he was trained to fight combat and martial art before becoming batman. That's according to the comic.

There might be a Catwoman spin-off from Gotham series just like arrow n flash.

Nygma and Barbara Are the least of penguin problems, fish is coming I'm sure she's coming with an army, the court of owls are getting closer to their plans…even tabitha wants to rule Gotham

The series is more about Gotham saga and how villains came to be and little about how Bruce grow to be batman, that's why it is focused more on Jim Gordon since he's already a police and fighting villains and crimes before batman came.

So yes, I don't think there will be appearance of batman in the series just like Small ville(Superman), but we can't say they might link it to start batman series.

Lailai... they shouldn't do any batman series except animation pls.... Batman cannot afford to become vague..... Batman is an Icon.... although he should have cameo appearances...

Doing batman series can be a failure if the budget is low, most series budget are low, only few are high like Game of thrones.

I don't want batman movie series either, they should stick to Bruce Wayne character.
