More than 48 hours after the the Joint Task Force codenamed Operation Delta Safe (ODS) said it recovered 23 human skulls in various stages of decomposition, a complete human skeleton and several other human parts during its operations in Cross River, neither the Amnesty International (AI) nor the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) is yet to comment on the discovery.

The Commander of the Joint Media Campaign Centre (JMCC), Lt. Col Olaolu Dauda said the skulls were discovered during a raid at the militants’ shrines.

Amnesty International has been accused of always seeking available avenues to critise Nigeria’s security agencies while paying lip service to atrocities committed by different groups against the Nigerian state.

According to Lt. Col Olaolu Dauda, “The shrines were destroyed as troops continued to search for the perpetrators of these heinous acts against humanity. With the clearance of these shrines, the Bakassi Strike Force has effectively been smoked out from the areas they used to hold sway. It should be noted that the senseless killing of humans for ritual purposes is sacrilegious and will not be tolerated in any form within the joint operation area.”

This is not the first time human skulls will be dug up from camps operated by kidnappers and militants in the south east and south south region, but the silence of the IPOB and AI has been described as suspicious.

What exactly do you want AI to do?. AI goes after the big fish, not shrimps in the name of iPod or Bakassi. Was it ever reported when some northerns & security agents were buried in some pit in SE? AI is a puppet.

This horror sight brings back the memory of Biafran forefather, Clifford orji, in his devastating days. He introduced cannibalism in the SW & SS, Calabarians could have chased them away as SW did. Calabarians are known for dog feasting.

There is nothing like different level of decomposition in skull. Skull is a bone,it doesn't decompose. Army should not use skull discovery in a shrine to claim anything sinister in the part of the militants. Skull can be bought in any street in Yoruba land. Alfa and herbalist in Yorubaland disinters and behead corpse buried in grave for this kind of purpose. Skull can be bought from Yoruba land without stress.

At least give a little bit of recognition and respect to the Adebanko that did the killing in Soka forest, it wouldn't hurt, would it?
