Do you think Tony Elumelu should contest the 2019 Presidential election due to his strength of character, intelligence, wealth of experience, charisma and focus?
He seems to have a vision for Nigeria which is what is needed at the moment. It begins with you. Your opinion does matter.

Would you rather have another Buhari? Tony Elumelu believes that Nigeria should diversify into other areas aside oil by encouraging SMEs and creating an enabling platform. Nigeria can be China of Africa.

Tony Elumelu is an Igbo man, for that alone, it is better for him to stay as far away from the Nigerian presidential elections as much possible. The presidency of Nigeria is a poisonous and worthless office and every body who ever held that office turned out to be worse than who they took over from.

Nigeria an unworkable entity full of incompatible people and warring sides. An Igbo man should not tarnish his reputation by seeking to be president of a country built on fraud and deciet. A country which is actually an enforced union of people.

Let the Yorubas and Northerners keep that office and us Igbos take a front row seat and watch them continue their destruction of Nigeria like they have been doing for the last 50 years.

May an Igbo man never be president of the British colonial creation called Nigeria, there are more important things for us Igbos to aspire to

you don't have to be the president to impact on a country and the lives of citizens. Tony can still be a greatly recognized person, by putting his knowledge to use when necessary, some of the greatest people in history were leaders bt not Presidents.

He would lose his polling unit. The likes of Elumelu are career crooks who have found a way to manipulate the system into doing their bidding...
...and u r sitting down in the dust shouting. What value have u brought to urself by digging at the opportunities the system presents without breaking the laws? Hater! Direct ur anger at that system. As it is in Nigeria it is so everywhere. Only differences in laws. The likes of Elumelu studies and understand their environment well and know how well to tap the opportunities inherent therein....and they always do so without breaking the laws....and they get rich, extremely rich...leaving haters like u extremely bitter and envious.
It's their intelligence and smartness. Strategic thinking. That's what set them apart. Then luck have no option but to smile at them.
Don't hate. Open ur eyes and keep ur ears to the ground u might just get an opening.

In the political arena I avoid anyone praised by Obasanjo. Has Obasanjo praised Elumelu, yes or no?

Why not? Is he not a Nigerian? Of course he should contest. Other people that have been contesting, do they have two heads? If he feels he can do the job, he should go right ahead and build the alliances he needs to get there. He certainly seems to have some economic sense about him.

In as much Tony E is a human, has the certificate to contest and he is a citizen of this great country why not.
Based on his past achievements in sme's I think this si someone who doesn't hold govt position but is busy investing in self reliance project. I will support him in all areas.

The same way some foolishly voted GEJ because he claimed he had no shoes!
Can Elumelu pass an integrity test! That is even d first question before u even start interrogating all the contrived attributes u so cheapishly heaped on him.
Strength of character, what is your criteria.
Wealth of experience:by leading Uba?
Focus :on what precisely.
It's because we av some trivialized most important top government leadership positions that we av been flooded at both federal and state levels with people who otherwise wud either been in jail in saner climes or at best taken for jokers even at coucillorship positions,in saner climes.
This is a man u hardly know besides the hype on newstands and organising one hyped event or the other, being suddenly promoted as a presidential material.
U pple wud still not learn.

So ironic, I'm actually an Igbo girl from abia state.

If Nigerians would just put religion and tribalism aside, maybe, just maybe we would have a chance of becoming better
even if we used the tribalism to fix our tribe only. Imagine if he invested in mega palm oil plantation and refinery or TV flat screen production factory in his village so that shame will force others to do same, instead it's just to be nacking the masses heads against each other they know how to do. Nothing productive

Interesting that you should say that coz you Igbos have alot in common with Kukuyus of Kenya. The exception is the kikuyus have attained economic, numerical and political power -the trifecta.
