It is no longer news that the FG yesterday approved Eight(cool new private universities.
However, it seems the Northern region is backward in terms of education. This should be brought to the notice of the Northern elites.

Isn't it competitive to get admission in the public varsities. Establishing more private universities could crash fees charged and absence of monopoly.

Shorop, it's not about Nigeria, it's happens all over the world and they still build...Have u seen a private sector that doesn't a high fee?

The point of creating it is that instead of those rich folks dragging admission with we the less privileged, they peacefully march to private uni and make us all happy and educated.

Meanwhile, have u ever heard of scholarship? It's still on and possible even within private universities.

Whether private or public owned, the North has more interest in religion and politics than educating its populace.
It's a failure on the part of their elite who refuse to educate them due to fear of been overthrown.
They would rather build religious institutions.
The North has no education.
No economy.
No self sufficiency.
No economic plans.
No sustainable development.

We do not need more private universities to corrupt our youths in northern Nigeria.
What we lack is primary and basic education not university education.
We will continue to do our quranic education while developing infrastructure for primary education and we shall succeed.
The igbos are the most surprising tribe in Nigeria and I always wonder how they have achieved so much just few years after the civil war.
I travelled to Enugu and anambra and all I saw was mansion which is better than those in banana islands all over their villages with paved roads and I realized how rich this people truly are.
They are a blessing to nigeria and if only Othman dan fodio conquered the east, they would have been perfect for Islam.
