Sorry but I don't think dat is correct. I have had my camon c8 over a year now and d camera is still d same.
But d truth is every thing deteriorate over time. I have had an old Nokia dat I experienced dat with. Later I noticed dat it was d glass covering d camera dat got scratched as a result of long use. So check if d glass at d back of d camera is not scratch. Remember dat d camera covering at d back of d fone protrudes

Some brands do, some don't.
My previous galaxy s3 got really bad after 7 months, whereas my present lg g2 is almost 2 years, and d camera is still solid, as in solidly sweet.

If the glass in front of yhur camera is gozila screen yhu wount have that prob.. maybe its rubber, remove the glass in front of the camera.. But OYO

this sound like the problem with tecno,infinix and those inferior china phones. for Gods sake,how can a hardware or software deteriorate, the only problem should be physical damage by falling... or when in contact with water.the person i gave my ordinary sony ericsson k850i (5mp cam) that i bought in 2009 said camera is sharp,plays clear music and video. one day you guys will say music player deteriorates with time like a cassette player o.

What Usually cause this is the Protection on your Camera lens... Most of the low budget phones uses plastics

While most High ends uses the Scratch resistance Glass, Sapphire glass, etc

If the build quality is cheap then dust would get into the lens and over time, it could get worse
