The presidency is poised to the disbursement of N1.6bn to some 18 states as part of its resolve to support small scale businesses. Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Senator Aisha Alhassan, made the disclosure in Lafia, capital of Nasarawa, when she paid a visit to the state governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura. Alhassan said the loan was part of the N500bn social intervention fund endorsed by President Muhammadu Buhari. According to her, the beneficiaries are Nasarawa, Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, Abia, Osun, Jigawa, and Akwa Ibom states. She said her ministry was embarking on the tour to sensitize women on how they can assess the loans without collateral. more @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2016/11/federal-government-poised-to-dish-out.html
