please to the gurus in the house please Nissan pathfinder 1996 is giving me issues
firstly it was formerly bringing out black smoke from the exhaust but now its much of white smoke
secondly it has been long I have serviced the gear I observed the gear won't change until I remove my foot from the throttle And press again

Engine and gear is loading. Cause of white smoke could be the following

1) blown head gasket
2) cracked cylinder head
3) cracked cylinder wall

Carry out a visual inspection. Start the car in the morning open the radiator filler cap and inspect water or coolant. Are there bubbles forming right inside?

Also carry out a cylinder compression test

As for your gear run a scan on it. Am afraid you might need to change your gear box although depending on scan result
