They told us there was negotiations and from my elementary knowledge, for every negotiation there must be give and take.

The question now is what was given and what was taken?

So boko haram just freed them?
Yes Boko released them after Buhari PAINSTAKINGLY negotiated for their release.
Yes Buhari is that good, now people wouldn't say he hasn't delivered on his campaign promises.

But of course, this is Nigeria where even if they released Boko's leader or paid money to Boko, shame no go allow them tell us the truth.

“The attention of Defence Headquarters (DHQ), has been drawn to a news story by the Punch newspapers alleging that ransom was paid by the government in exchange for the recently released of 21 of the abducted Chibok girls. This unsubstantiated story, to say the least, is quite unfortunate. It is important to recall here that several statements have been issued by the military high command to clarify the issue surrounding the release of the girls, which the whole world applauded. It is therefore worrisome that some sections of the media continue to undermine this modest effort of the government, security agencies and other stakeholders. It is imperative to state categorically that the sponsors of this media campaign have a hidden agenda which is best known to them.

“The military and other security agencies will not be distracted and would remain focussed in achieving its objectives in the North East. The important thing is that the release have been made and circumstances surrounding this effort should not be a matter of controversy so as not to overheat the polity and jeopardising the ongoing efforts to secure the release of the remaining girls and other innocent citizens still in captivity of the terrorists.

“The insinuations that ransom was paid to the terrorists which the terrorists used to escalate the recent attacks in the North East is completely false and imagination of the author. The general public should therefore discountenance it in its entirety.

“The DHQ wishes to once more remind the media to be cautious of such reports which has serious implication on national and to further add that, as partners in progress, the media also has a stake in the ongoing efforts to restore lasting peace in the North East and the country in general.”

The most laughable part.

The federal government had in October denied swapping Boko Haram members in detention for the freed girls, saying the release was “the product of painstaking negotiations and trust on both sides.”

So BH now trust the GOV'T/MILITARY... continue.

Okay on that faithful Day Abubakar Shekau Woke up and told the 21 girls to take their bath and prepare to meet their parents after 2years..

He now filled his truck with 80litres PMS told the girls to hop in ordering one of his Commanders to drive them to the spot where the Nigerian Military will pick them up....

The Commander reached this Pickup point scratched his MTN recharge card to recharge his Techno phone, after recharging he called Shekau to inform him he has carried out the task...

Shekau Calls the Military after recharging his phone with 400 Naira Airtel to go to the agreed pick-up point to meet these 21 Abducted girls.

The Soldiers move to the pickup point to meet these 21 abducted Chibok girls immediately the Commander Calls the GOC 7th Division, the GOC Calls the Chief Of Defence and Army Staff, the Chief Of Army Staff with smiles on his face grin calls President Buhari grin....

I believe the government but one question that has kept popping out from my head is was the release unconditional? Was it entirely free of charge which no string was attached

Money was paid but no ransom was paid.
Funny they avoid saying anything about prisoner swap. I am so sure that in a bid to secure the girl's release one of the conditions that the military gave to the boko haram members is that they must not parade the swapped prisoners to make mockery of the Nigerian army in any of their terrorist videos

Who is deceiving who? Army or the citizens? Most people knew that a deadly group like BK will release 21girls without getting ransom. If military are fools Nigerians are not. The truth would soon be out in the public.

THE NIGERIA SOLUTION: A MIND RE-DRIVE
Dear Mr. President, I suggest we make the best use of your tenure to fix the basic FOUNDATIONAL PROBLEM to all our problems as an emerging Great Country: the AVERAGE NIGERIAN MINDSET! Here we can fix the many issues of our Country by using 'ONE STONE to kill a thousand birds'.
Let us use the MIND RE-DRIVE STRATEGY. This is by renewing the minds of Nigerians (as many are with respect to Integrity, corrupt) through an AGGRESSIVE value reorientation campaign using all forms of Public and Private Agencies and media; Tv, radio, internet Print media, even the movies, musical artistes etc.
If the President through his powers ( with our Governors and other Political office holders) together with the teeming population can reproduce an 'Integrity' mindset in the average citizen, his work will be made much more easy in fixing Nigeria, cutting down the giant tree of Nigeria problems from its MAIN ROOT.
'Get a person to think of doing a thing AND he will ACTUALLY and ENTHUSIASTICALLY do it.' Get the Nigerian person to think of doing the right thing righlty AND he will ACTUALLY and ENTHUSIASTICALLY do the right thing rightly.'
Then will we have many 'high integrity persons' almost everywhere, fixing Nigeria. This way, the 'REAL POSITIVE CHANGE' will be deeply entrenched and sustainable for future generations.
A tree cannot make a forest alone, BUT CAN, through reproduction. Just Imagine if every Nigerian was thinking and acting with integrity at the various levels of our society, how our Country will be, Paradise!
If we fix our 'Integrity' values as individuals and as a Country, God helping us; Nigeria will become Paradise! _St. Nom S.
Pls share till it reaches everyone, We can be Great again, even Greater than ever before!!
