I think the power of belief is the all encompassing variant here. Belief creates an engine in the mind of a person, that prevents them from noticing the errors and flaws in their belief, but it allows them to see the flaws in the beliefs of others.

Christians can see the flaws in Islam. But they can't see the flaws, contradictions and inconsistencies in Christianity, and when they are confronted with these flaws, they just easily dismiss it. I mean, this is intellectual dishonesty of the highest kind.
