So U equaĺly agree that Babangida and Dasuki(ur new-found-adopted son) were tyrants for not allowing Buhari to bid farewell to his mother?

Yes! he should be allowed to bidfarewell to his father just on human ground because neither of the duo deserves to be honour by Nigeria. However, he should be taken back to continue his incarceration!! Many souls who were lost due to his action and inaction couldnt even be buried by their love ones because his nefarious activities and devilness gave Bokoharam a field day.

No!

Do you know how many people the corruption he orchestrated rendered fatherless and motherless or the soldiers "armlessly" sent to the warfront simply because he decided to use the money for arm purchase to campaign for his drunken master?

Can you tell me how many men on the frontline have lost parents and loved ones while on the frontline and couldn't attend and most burials held in their absence . why should a thief be allowed?

If our heroes can't attend burials of their loved ones due to raging war in the NE which is lingering simply because Dasuki decided to be a thief .

He won't attend his father's burials just like every other criminal in jail is not allowed to. Is he bigger than those in jail that have lost parents to be given special accord?

really? Well , I think if you've lost any of your brothers to the war simply because dasuki shared the money meant for arm purchase , I'm sure you won't be saying this.

Why should a suspect under going trial be granted such honour? How many poor Nigerians who are in custody for various offences are granted such honour when they lose their loved ones? Why should Dasuki be treated differently from other Nigerians?

I fear history a lot... It's subject to the forces of nature which most times are beyond the ken of human comprehension, but can always be interpreted by humans when history happens.

Take for instance this age-less quote: history has a way of repeating itself; either as tragedy or farce. In 1985, Major Sambo Dasuki was the leader of the squad who arrested General Muhammed Buhari on the order of his principal, General Ibrahim Badamosi Babaginda.

Buhari was later house-detained, part of which he spent in an isolated building in Benin City. While in solitary confinement, he lost his mum. A personal loss, more so, the last born...

The military junta of IBB did not allow Buhari to go bury his mum because the despotic regime considered him ' a security threat' to the state.

Yesterday, Dasuki lost his dad, a former(deposed by General Abacha, another rogue) Sultan of Sokoto, while still in Kuje prison, for taking orders as National Security Adviser, from his erstwhile principal, Goodluck Jonathan, on how some huge funds for arms purchase were criminally diverted to fund the failed re-election of Jonathan in 2015.

Sambo Dasuki might not be able to witness the burial of his dad just like Buhari could not witness his mum's. The two scenarios look similar but they are not the same in context and circumstance.

Dasuki's own involves a criminal diversion of fund which he's standing trial in court for till this moment and he's yet to be discharged and acquitted by any known court of the land.

Buhari became a victim of the state because the man who ousted him from power felt releasing him to the society could be a huge risk to his own government.

Buhari did not commit any crime against the state unlike Dasuki who's standing trial for financial misappropriation. His only crime was that he was dethroned from power.

For those accusing Buhari of being vengeful, read your history very well and interpret them accordingly with the tempers and circumstances of the time it happened.

Should Buhari order the release of Dasuki so he can go bury his father? I do not think so. Buhari is not the court. And no court has said so... Emotion has no place in law.

If the NSA at the time the office became the ATM of the Jonathan era had not been Sambo Dasuki, the same fate would have befallen the same person. That I'm cocksure of.

Seriously, it is really sad when one reads how some people jump up and down to defend the same rich elites that don't care a bit about the poor masses.

I remember when Fela died in 2007 and Dr Beko Ransom-Kuti who was then in Abacha's custody wanted to attend his burial to show his last respect. Abacha rejected all his pleas and Fela was buried without the presence of his beloved brother. Beko was fighting for the poor masses and for the return to democratic government. If he can be denied, why should any sane person clamour for Dasuki, a suspect standing trial for blowing away over $2.1billion to be given such honour?

There is no honor when a criminal bury a traitor.
Dasuki should not be released for the sake of burying his father.
