ONDO REBIRTH INITIATIVE (ORI) PLEDGES SUPPORT FOR BARRISTER OLUSOLA OKE
Our attention has been drawn to the developmental decadence in Ondo State despite huge resources and endowment accrued to the state since the political era. Many of our politicians are the architects, proponents and harbingers of our economy debacle. In view of this, ORI has been forced to make its position known in this political dispensation.
All odds against the Governor of Ondo State and his protégé as the Ondo state governorship election slated for 26th November 2016 is drawing near. However, it is imperative to note that our dear sunshine state is in dire need of good governance and accountability where all and sundry would be part of the government. Consequently, His Excellency, Barrister Olusola Oke is on a rescue mission of the rot for a rebirth of Ondo state whose antecedence speaks volume of his altruistic nature, an epitome of generosity and patriotism.
“Ondo Rebirth Initiative” has critically and painstakingly looked at the events of the electioneering process, the most suitable candidate in terms of integrity, fairness and justice is barrister Olusola Oke who happens to come from the south senatorial district of the state while his deputy (Hon. Ganiyu Dauda) comes from the North Senatorial district. We should be frank with ourselves that the central senatorial district cannot produce the Governor of the state in this political dispensation because Governor Mimiko is from the central senatorial district and he has spent two terms as the Governor of Ondo State. We should not underestimate the numerical strength of the remaining two senatorial districts as they are respectively determinants of the elections in the state. We meticulously suspect that Governor Mimiko is trying to cover up the fraud perpetrated in his regime by forcing a puppet on the state where our common resources would continue to go into private purses of the conscienceless demigods that are currently milking the state dry.
We are currently and assiduously mobilising massively across the state in all the eighteen local government areas of the state for Barister Olusola Oke to ensure the enthronement of responsibility, probity, trust, scrupulousness, competence, and accountability. The overwhelming support base and attention receiving from the people of the state is a testimony of the acceptance of his political aspiration, sagacity and veracity.
When we examine the major contenders in the race; APC has failed Nigerians within a little time they got to power, it has impoverished Nigerians with failed economy, lack of ideas, job losses and nepotism. The APC candidate appears to be rude, he talks recklessly, care freely and indiscriminately even to his fellow contenders in APC and to their national leader. People will agree with us that someone that can be easily provoked by constructive argument shouldn’t be allowed to preside over the affair of this state because; even common strike action by the labour can cause them their jobs to mention but only one. To this end, APC internal crisis has cracked down the spine of its strength in this election. While everybody knows what is at stake in PDP leadership tussle both in the state and national.
Finally, we will resist any attempt to rig the election as APC and PDP are currently planning to rig the election respectively while the latter is orchestrating plan to postpone the election because they have been rejected by the majority of the Ondo state populace due to their poor performances. Ondo Rebirth Initiative is using this medium to express gratitude to its followers across the state for submitting to the view of its leadership to support the aspiration of Barrister Olusola Oke as Governor of the state.
The sun must shine again.
