[quote author=butanep post=51524236] Nigeria is really in a sorry state. I was a kid when my father said Nigeria will become great again till now as a full grown adult, I have seen no difference. We are still saying, Nigeria will be great and things keep Nigeria will never be better as far as am concerned! Until we split because we don't have a common value system |

Fela will remain a legend any time any day likewise many other musicians of old with a vision for the future. Many musicians of old were social activist from the lyrics of their songs we can now sense reality the decay they have foresee coming down on this generation. Todays' music Industry is full of Waak musicians who are only concern about dancehall music and nothing about the injustice in the society. They promote nudity in music videos were ladies wiggle their black butt..lol and wear bikini under the African sun. A large percentage of them can't even play a single musical instrument or sing live on stage. Thank God for the computer age, if not some will stay back selling their rat poison on the street.. Hmmm! I no mention any musician name o make una no come dey yab me any how . |

the Nigeria we 've today is the result of the greed of our founding fathers from zik to awolowo to balewa the structures of tribalism they built our foundation on is what has killed the nation they agreed on power sharing within the three major ethnic groups but a certain tribe hasn't always being happy as they wanted power first this played out in the voting for Nigeria to be a republic and power was taken away from zik and absolute power was given to the centre by that single act making Hausa the sole power. now this brought unrest and power struggle in the then western region and from there the coup and counter coup which brought the civil war. after the war the tribes have refused to structure the nation for equity sake as the present structure favours the north this structure is what is holding us down and we will never be great until it is broken down or a war comes and we part as a country. voting is not the answer as if you like vote in your brother a nation is run by structures and as long as the president says he will obey the rule of law he has just told you the current political structure is what will be So is there any hope time will tell |
