HtwoOw: Nigerians seem to always seem to prefer home based players when it comes to governnance. Who better to reform a system than an outsider with a different way of thinking? You can't solve a problem with the same type of thinking that caused it in the first place. If i were Buhari, my entire cabinet from Ministry of Defense to Education would have been outsiders. The Nigerian way of thinking hasn't done much for us since independence but yet this leaders still keep trotting out the same names. 1 Like |

A reasonable President that didn't wait to be sworn in before playing his game right, not like some dullard from a republic farm that waste months before appointing saints who are useless |

devilson: First of all, working for the ministry of finance might require to divest all his assets in his companies so as to prevent possible conflicts of interest which i doubt that he would want to do. Also, i doubt that he would want to taint his reputation and become minister of finance in a very corrupt environment like naija? Can you imagine working for a boss who tells you to approve illegal transactions or tells you to look the other way while other people loot the treasury? Another issue is that a brilliant guy like that might not want to work for a micro-manager like Buhari. I mean why would he want to work for a give who won't give him free rein to recruit his team and do his job effectively without interference? Abeg, if i were in his shoes i would not work for a guy who constantly overrules your decisions despite the fact that i am more knowledgeable than he is. I think the best thing might be for him to be an adviser to the president similarly to what he is currently doing for Trump right now. It won't make sense for him to stoop so low and be earning significantly lower than what he is currently making right now. 2 Likes |
