So una neva c my breaklight since....make una no vex. I knw sey sum go don dey talk sey Mummy Pinky don run, i no run abeg. My phone don crash, na my hubby fone i dey use na. And school don resume, work don resume with full force, no semeseme again oo.

I work from 8am - 5pm, by 3pm i pick the kids up from school, rush and drop dem with dia maternal grandmum, den hurry back to wrk til 5pm, den i kari dem go house, bt nt b4 i branch market buy wetin we go chop.

Den oga at d top arrives by 7pm, work don start...i have to serve him his food, i have to shout at the top of my voice before d kids maintain dia sef.

I ddnt evn tel u guys wat hapned dis evnin. My youngest daughter, d agbaya of the house, use her small bicycle ride on top my phone, pieces d screen still injure on top. No b smal tin, i rush am go hospital...upon dat 1 hubby stil dey blame me. D stuff jst spoil my mood 2day eh...so make una no vex, its nt easy being a family woman.

MABEL.

I walked into the room. The room looked very familiar to me. Almost as if i had been there all my life.

From the walls, to the tiles, to the bed, everything looked really familiar to me.

I sat on the bed and an image popped into my head. I closed my eyes.

I say myself weeping and rolling on this bed. Then another image popped in. I saw myself slapping a girl. Then yet another image, i saw myself preventing my son...did i just say my son? I meant Nathan from touching another girl.

And that girl looked familiar to me. Everything looked very familiar.

My head started banging. And i knew very well that if i kept trying to remember things from my past, i might just slump.

I looked around the room and was about walking out when my eyes caughting a big black book on the floor beside the bed.

I slowly walked back to it and picked it up. It was dusty, i wiped it with my hands. It looked like a diary.

I walked back to the bed and opened it.

Whoever had the diary had had that diary for close to 15yrs because the date written as at when given was 15th May 2001.

Immediately i opened the first page, an image popped into my brain and i saw myself handing a book that looked exactly like this one to a young boy of about 11yrs.

'Nathan....this is your birthday gift. Happy birthday my child....' i spread my arms and he ran into them.

'i love you mummy'

'i love you too Nathan....' i had said. Then the rest became blurry.

I started wondering...what was my past life like? Was Nathan really my son? Why couldnt i remember anything apart from the numerous flashes i do have once in a while?

Why couldnt i exactly remember anything about him if he truly was my son and i'd claimed to lve him in my flashes?

I sighed and opened the diary. This was the first entry:

Dear diary,
My mother gave you to me on this day, 15th of May, 2001, my birthday. Do you know how much i love my mum? I love her so much, she's the best thing in my world now. And i cherish whatever it is she gives to me. Therefore dear diary, i will love and cherish you the same way i love and cherish my mum. I'll always take care of you. I'll never leave you or my mum's side. I love you diary

I frowned. Whoever professes love for an inanimate object?

I flipped to the next page.

20th May 2001
Dear Diary,
Do you know what happened today? My mum slapped me. Do you know why she slapped me? Because i disrespected her guest. I had bitten the man's arm, but would you really blame me? The man had called my mum a slut in my presence. He had said "hey boy, go call that slut of a momma, tell her my Junior's already nodding in excitement"
I was very angry. I had grabbed the man's arm and bitten him. He had shouted very loud and when momma came out, she was mad. Then she slapped me and sent me to my room. Dear diary, did i do something wrong? I love my mum and i'll do anything to protect her. I'll repeat this act several times over and over again if anyone tries to call her demeaning names

Third Entry.

6th of June 2001.
Dear Diary,
I cant believe i havent set eyes on my mum for about two weeks now. Mum left me. She travelled without even letting me know. She left me a little sum of money asking me through a letter to take care of myself, then she left. I havent seen or spoken to my mum. Dear Diary, what is my offence? Why does it seem to me that momma hates me?

I shook my head in pity. Whoever this young boy was, he must have really loved his mum.

I went over to the next entry.

Dear Diary!!
Long time no see! I've left you for over a year, please forgive me. I just didnt have the inspiration to write anything.
Something happened today Diary and you're the only person i'm telling, do not spill my secret okay?
I trust you.
I met some big boys in the neighbourhood today. They sent me to get them cigarettes which i hurriedly did. They thanked me and told me that as a token of their appreciation, i would become their friend. I was so happy diary. I've never had any friend since we packed into this neighbourhood. They bought me food and snacks and you know the most interesting part? They taught me how to smoke!!
I am so glad Diary. Smoking is fun!! I love it. I smoked two cigarettes today diary. Though i coughed the first time, the other one was fun. They told me that if i continue being a good boy, they might just teach me how to smoke marijuana, isnt it good? Since mum is never there for me, maybe my new friends may always be be there for me[/b]

My oh my! It was obvious to me that this little child was suffering from neglect. His mother whoever she was.....was cursed.

Then i paused. Who owned this diary? It certainly....it certainly couldnt be....Nathan?
