1. They expect a man to love them equally as their kid. This is simplistic. Lions kill cubs that aren’t of their bloodline. So do other big cats. It’s a natural instinct.

2. They are paranoid. They suspect everything and are overly protective of their emotions. Taking risks is obviously necessary in all aspects of life.

3. They also expect prospective spouse to invest in their kid’s welfare. This is summed up by their popular maxim….”if you love me, you must also take care of my kid”.

4. They assume men are “strong” emotionally. It takes a man who values diversity and inclusion and exceptionally matured to accept a single mom into his life amid Africa’s culture.

5. They expect the man’s family to embrace them with love and care. How many Nigerian families will do that? Families often ask “Why a girl with a child amidst millions of single girls?”
