you're the one who's being naive. if a governor is found guilty of murdering an inec official who came to conduct elections in his state, that governor will be prosecuted immediately. immunity does not cover that. the deputy governor takes over. if there's any breakdown of order as a result, the president has every right to declare emergency before going back to senate for approval.

The immunity clause is absolute and covers all crimes.If however a Governor is clearly seen to have committed a grave crime,the state house of Assembly will be pressured to impeach him.But as long as a Governor is still in office he is immune from all criminal and civil prosecutions including murder. Section 308 is very clear,it makes no exceptions.The immunity is complete and absolute.
