About 7 power grids was lost recently and causing a drop of over 1900mw.

Apparently, this may be the cause of total darkness in parts of Lagos.

Fashola only made budget for diesel and generator maintenance without any plan to provide power supply.

The problem is nothing more than the over-centralisation of power .
The privatised power companies were set up to extract rents .
Invest they will not
Extract rents , they will.

The other problem is the power mix . Depending on Niger delta for gas is poor strategy.it is like depending on borno for fish.

Fashola kindly resign. The grid loss is unbecoming. We can be paying exorbitant bill and we have no light in our home. People applied for prepaid meters and they are yet to be given.

What is the minister of darkness doing? Or has he realised that increasing or even maintaining the megawatts is now rocket science?

I was expecting this news. Cos when there is a sharp drop. We feel it here, and when there is an increase, its always felt here immediately.
