Amazing as it seems, this has got nothing to do with keshi or coaching genius. . . . just plain luck as far as i'm concerned. I've seen it before in the AFCON in Burkina Faso, then it was like 3 goals in about 7mins in the 3rd place match between the burkinabes & the DRC.

@tkb417,
Many thanks. It looks like a fast and Furious affair though. My joy is that Keshi has been redeemed. He will have to go and watch the tape over again. There must have been some fundamental mistakes/loopholes He needs to plug before His next match. Can't always come back like this.

how is that? Luck? did you see the GOALS?

4 GOALS in some 7 mins? What sort of luck is that?

Keshi made a sub - Keita and he banged in 2 GOALS!!!

Coaching genius and determination if you ask me.

The two penalties were LEGIT!!!. Mali messed up before they decided to produce a magnificent comeback.

As far as I'm concerned, the comeback should not be attributed to Keshi. He had a part to play in it though, a very tiny part. The comeback is from resilence on the part of the players. No coach plans to conceed 2 penalties and go down by 4.

I hope you can confidently say the same thing about Benitez and Liverpool's 2005 comeback.

Resilience? Indeed - The Angolans are USELESS at the back and that their keeper is not even good enough for under 15 level.

The Malians simply tried a bit and discovered 'hey we can score goals against these guys'. I watched the last 20 minutes and Mali had 5 shots and 4 goals in that time.

Angola benefited from two soft penalty decisions and were not really that good. The standard of defending overall by both sides was abysmal.

While Keshi might have played a part, I think the revival came as a result of putting players in their rightful positions and the Malians finally deciding to play since they had nothing to lose - once they started doing that, the first goal showed how shaky the Angolan defence was and after that they just kept trying.

Kudos to Keita for bouncing back from conceding a soft penalty to scoring two goals. Wish I picked him in my fantasy team.  sad

Wat a dramatic way to the 27th African Cup Of Nation hosted by Angola.
Who will believe that the Malians would be able to make a comeback from 4-0 to 4-4.it is indeed a match to remember and it has made its history in African football. At 78th minute d Angolians were still leading by a 4goals margin and the party was almost starting but for the malians to start scoring in the 79th mins. of the game. That brought the all-important draw of the game.

Hey Debosky, you're also right bu I never said those two factors - Malian resilience and Angolan lackadaisical defending - were exclusive of each other in any way.
