I was expecting this kind of comment , I don't know who you are and where u got ur info about 300 dollars from , Of course if you have green card , you can join whatever you want , I admitted making the mistake of classifying both green card/citizenship as the same thing.
I'm sure it's not 300 dollars per month, except you mean per week , my classmate is currently collecting 800bucks per month for doing nothing.
If it's just 300 bucks per month then it won't be worth joining . I'm in the US , I live with these people, my info is first hand information .

what about a naijja Doctor like me presently in the Army?

Thanks so much.
Can one renew his/her visa while waiting for the completion of the tour? Maybe the individual got a student visa or visa with a shorter duration. You understand me?

I would suspect that if a student joined the army with a student visa, their status would change, meaning they would have a different kind of visa, maybe even becoming a permanent resident during their tour.

No way..You will renounce your Nigerian Citizenship once you enlisted in US military. They will do a thorough background check. You must not have ties or interests in any foreign countries.

That's the surest way out then. We can even use this method to train our soldiers, if only the government can think deep and that's if those who've gone would be willing to come back, lol.

Kelvin, do you think US Government is dumb. Paying you huge amount for doing nothing. Just drilling for one weekend a month. To earn $800/month as a reservist, you must have reached a high rank as officer or enlisted. Their pay chart is online.

Alright, thanks.

Students (F-1) cannot join US army except through a special language program called MAVNI. If you can speak Yoruba, Hausa or Igbo, you can enlist through MAVNI as a foreign student in America.Unfortunately, the program was stopped in 2016 for some security reasons. They promised to bring it back this year but I doubt it cos of this new US president.

But they could still train others when they resign. Some NAVY SEALS resign after few years of combat, then take up jobs relating to their fields such as a security agent, computer specialists, etc. I'm I right sir?

In the army there is the active and the reserve, to join the active you have to be a US citizen , which this lady probably is. To join the reserve you don't have to be a US citizen , but you have to have been in the US legally for like a year or 2. But they stopped recruiting foreigners to the reserve last year , due to some info about terrorists joining the reserve through that means,(that's what I heard from some guys sha). Maybe they might start recruiting again in the near future . And when you join the reserve as a foreigner , u become a citizen direct, sharp sharp.
And all you do in the reserve is go for weekend trainings ,you can continue your normal day job as an engineer or doctor e.t.c in your private organization, and you collect like 300 to 800 (I modified this) dollars every month from the army for doing nothing but just light trainings like 3 times a month. Lots of naija guys in my school went that route to gain citizenship. But joining the active is far better than joining the reserve , but as a foreigner that's the only option u have.
WORD!
