Why are there so many different Christian interpretations? If all Christians have the same Bible, and the same Holy Spirit, should not Christians be able to agree?

they are not different "interpretations" of the Bible. they are different "VERSIONS" of the Bible. there's a difference which I am sure you are well aware.

It is not everybody who owns, reads or even preaches with the Bible that is a Christian. People have their different focuses. Your focus will determine how you interprete the Bible. Those whose focus is about this life interprete it to suit their earthly focus. Those who are after a blissful eternity after this brief life have eternity in view on their interpretations, prayers, pursuits and lifestyles. There is just one purpose of the Scriptures - to convert us from sinners to saints, make us profitable to our Maker, have us fulfilled and prepare us for eternity with God (Psalms 19:7-11; 2nd Timothy 3:16, 17; Ephesians 4:11-14)

Yes, Christians should. The problem is not the Bible. The problem is the "people". If people truly want to have the correct interpretation, then they must sincerely pray for the Holy Spirit to guide them into all truth...even if that truth disagrees with the person's belief about something.
The problem is people are stubborn and tend to have their preconceived ideas about how something should be. It's called our "carnal fleshly desires" & so our minds naturally fight against ideas/concepts that disagree with those desires.
