His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, was this morning honored by the Olowo of Owo, His Royal Majesty, Oba David Victor Folagbade Olateru-Olagbegi III in Government House, Lokoja in recognition of his contribution to the victory of Barr. Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) as the Governor-Elect of Ondo State.

Speaking, the Chief of Staff to His Royal Majesty, Chief Olusola Ogunleye, said he brought high regards from His Majesty to His Excellency as the inauguration of a son of the Kingdom as the Executive Governor of Ondo State draws closer. His Excellency was presented with the most cherished traditional materials of Owo Kingdom, the traditional sword and woven cloth.

In the royal entourage was Mr. Yusuf Sanya Isiaka, an APC Chieftain who represented the Gov. Elect.

Responding, Governor Yahaya Bello expressed his joy and gratitude to His Majesty and the people of Owo Kingdom for the honor bestowed on him adding that he supported Barr. Akeredolu out of conviction that he would do right by the large population of Kogites resident in Ondo State who contributed largely to his victory at the polls.
