You mean that there is no law in our country against hanging on a moving vehicle even though you admit it is not good?
Do you work with FRSC, LASTMA or are you a lawyer specialised in traffic laws?
Yes, no law in Nigeria's constitution banning that. If there is any, please avail us.

Me too o. We might be better off without them in this land. My bro says for the Nigerian Police to be kept under check, their guns should be taken from them and replaced with kondo, then they should all be on shorts.

What a hell are you talking about, he is just like ordinary Nigerian, who can as well do ordinary thing like this, beside, have you seem them in their own vehicle, they do hang for quick response, stop that ill feeling about the police
So is he hanging for quick response now? does any passenger have the right to scuffle with him for standing space in police uniform ?

Do policemen even know the laws ? Do they even have a copy of the constitution. Who think there is a country here. There is none, just some gangs who control oil wells and use ragtag police and military to brutalize others to fear and submission.

Beast sof no nation - We are.

My good people of Nairaland. What my eyes saw today on my way way to work, my mouth cannot say. My fingers can type though grin.
What happens when those who are meant to enforce the law are the exact ones who break it. What gives a policeman the audacity to pull a stunt such as this? Obviously the absence of a retribution policy. God help us in this land.

I don't know if it's only in port Harcourt and benin city that that's considered as law-breaking cos road safety doesn't condone with conductors hanging on a vehicle. I've seen and heard of arrests made when that particular 'law' was broken. Some people in Benin where i schooled will attest to the fact that anytime Benin drivers see or have an info that the frsc are on the expressway, they'll tell their conductors to sit inside and close the door.
I remember some years ago while in Lagos when i took a bus to a particular location, the conductor loaded the bus and the seat that's normally meant for 4 people, he loaded 3 people and sat down in the seat close to the window and said the bus is filled, a woman asked him if they don't allow passengers seat in the 4th seat, he was like 'no o. You want lastma to hold this bus' so I'm kinda surprised that people in lag are saying that what that officer did isn't breaking of law. I stand to be corrected though.

What means of transport do they have to report to duty. Op, how many Police Stations have barracks to accommodate their personnel. I don't support the act but I believe the Policeman was constrained to so. Please don't snap them next time.

You lie sir; what he did is wrong and unsafe lipsrsealed Btw he is not an ordinary Nigerian as you claim. He has an obligation to respect and defend that uni4m. Nigeria Police be misbehaving from time immemorial and that's why they are fast loosing the respect their contemporaries are enjoying in other countries lipsrsealed I guess he solicited to board as 'staff' and was turned down. That's not possible with NA or any other soldier so let's call a spade a spade embarassed embarassed
