Due to the xenophobic attacks in South Africa against Nigerians, some Nigerians have called for retaliation.

I see this call as a foolish one, and all responsible and reasonable Nigerians should condemn any retaliation. Only thieves and criminals want to take advantage of these xenophobic attacks.

Digest this.

Who are those involved in xenophobic attacks in South Africa? Blacks.

Who owns MTN and DSTV and other big South African companies in Nigeria? Whites

Though I don't support violence, why attack a white owned business if a black man was the one that attacked you?

Finally, we should not copy foolishness from anyone. For those that want to retaliate, please travel to South Africa and do your retaliation there.

Only a fool will heed that call. We won't descend to that animalistic level hopefully.

Visitors are always safe here. It's ingrained in our culture. Any resident alien who commits a crime is arrested and prosecuted by the Ministry of Justice.

That's what a civilized society looks like.

I will not against your idea as it is not good to violent. But if the country we helped to survive is seen us as there enemy they can kill or attack anyhow definitely we should fight back. Nobody have monopoly of violent. This is not there first time. They should respect us so that they can be respected.

Until Nigerians learn to became investors in another mans land instead of going out to hustle almost empty handed, this madness will continue.

Can u please name the white South Africans and the business they owned?
I'm against violence but also indifferent to people who may seek revenge. U only understand it when u urself is a victim.
I know one thing for sure. Reciprocity is the most most effective tool of diplomacy.
The South African police (by the way they are made up of both blacks and whites) that stood by to watch are only waiting for political leadership orders.
So OP until ur house is burnt down u'll not clearly understand how hard it is to wrestle against revenge.
