On friday, February 24th at about 9:30 PM, a thief was caught in the largest Hostel in the sub Sahara Africa, the Umar Suleiman Hall in A.B.U, Zaria. The criminal was nabbed by students resident in the Hostel as he was trying to make his way out with the Phones, Laptops and Wallets he had Stolen from Block f/8.

The suspect was immediately dragged around the Hostel and was lyched on by several residents of the hostel. A.B.U Securities and the Students Representative Council (SRC) President had to come and intervene as the culprint was almost beaten to death by angry "Suleiman Boys". The SRC President pleaded with the rapid growing crowd to leave the case to the Security Personnels to handle.

A Student was also appreheneded by the Securities for hitting the Suspect countinously, again it was the SCR President who came to calm things down.

It was found out that the suspect was a not student of the University. He was later arrested by A.B.U Securities and was taken to their head Office in a Van.

Security in and around Ahamdu Bello University has been beefed up in recent weeks and there has been very little of such criminal cases in recent times
