I started thinking about the game of chess and the parallels which exist between it and a government.

In the game of chess, a player does everything possible to protect their king. Pawns are sacrificed, knights are moved into blocking positions, bishops and rooks provide long range coverage for the King, while the Queen is the most aggressive of protectors.


In all of this, the goal is to keep the king "home" and protected, while obviously searching out the opponents king.

One can draw similarities, as President Buhari can be compared to the King here in the game of chess.

Sadly though, our King absconded, leaving all forms of protection behind, wondering alone into foreign territory and exposing us to a check.

No other Nations king (President) has left his/her duty post for so long to be treated in a foreign land. No other king has exposed his kingdom to such an embarrassing check.

How many times have we seen Obama seeking critical care in LASU? Or queen Elizabeth jettison her post to make use of the facilities of Abuja Kingdom Exactly!!

Hopefully, this embarrassing check, doesn't turn into a checkmate.
