The New Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Onnoghen Walter, has vowed that it would be difficult for any person or group of people to use the Judiciary as their own tool of melting judgement.

He also added that if Nigeria Judiciary was political , it will be very easy for it to be pocketed by an individual. Onnoghen stated he would not allow this.

On the issue of delayed electoral and corrupt-free cases, Onnoghen said a panel has been set up and they are going to look into it all. Onnoghen said he will strengthen the Independence of the judiciary in order to increase the lost public confidence, particularly as the last hope of the common people.
