AN Ikeja High Court has been told that a United Kingdom (UK) University may soon expel and deport 17 and 18-year-old sons of Ambassador Chike Alex Anigbo, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Political Affairs Office if their school fees are not paid promptly.

The court presided over by Justice Elfreda Williams-Dawodu was also informed that Micheal, the eldest son was recently issued a deadline letter of December 7, informing him that he would be expelled from the school and may face deportation as he would be handed over to U.K Border to deport him back home.

Mr. A. Lawal, counsel to the Permanent Secretary's wife, Mrs. Anigbo disclosed this to the court during the week's proceeding for dissolution of their marriage. However, Anigbo's counsel, Mr. Alumona has refuted the women's claim that Micheal and Martins attend Newcastle and Sheffield Universities in that order.

Mrs. Anigbo through her counsel said that although their father claimed to have paid the school fees, the two schools have continued to insist that he present evidence of proof of payment, which he has failed to do.

She said further that she is surprised that Micheal who is supposed to be on Bank PHB student loan, arranged for him by the father is also involved in tuition fees saga.

Also, their last daughter, Ada has outstanding fees at Coroner School since January this year.

But counsel to Anigbo, Mr. Pat Alumona refuted all the claims made by Mrs. Anigbo in court.

According to him, Martin who just gained admission into the university has been taken care of by his father and to see them take a dramatic turnaround is confusing.

Alumona said Mrs. Anibgo wants his client to commit suicide as the situation had already created a heavy burden on him noting that his prayer is to proceed to trial for the dissolution of marriage.

Justice Dawodu-Williams adjourned the matter to January 26, 2010.
