A lot of interesting things happened yesterday. Let's summarize the events for unaware viewers.
Kemen, a former bbnaija housemate, groped a fellow housemate (Tboss) while she slept. This unconscionable act invariably led to his disqualification and subsequent ejection from the Big brother house. 

As usual, Twitter tweeted, Bloggers furiously blogged and Social media reacted. The words 'rape' and 'konji' are flying over the blogosphere. Females everywhere are calling for Kemen's head. Kemen's fellow Akwa Ibom people have rejected and denounced him. It seems his gym business will wither and die. 
Big brother and Nigerian viewers at home have judged him guilty. Therefore he must be guilty. And he must suffer the consequences.

But wait! Did Kemen  see a random girl sleeping and like a man possessed by the konji demon, go forward and touch her boobs? No. The BBNaija show is inherently about promiscuity and sex. The producers and viewers encourage, promote and demand it. The same Tboss has flirted with Kemen, asked him to massage her and cuddled with him. All these are conventional signs that a girl likes a guy. Is it so unthinkable that this same unsuspecting guy would make a move on such a a girl?

Before you pounce on me and tear me apart, I fully agree with you. If Kemen indeed touched Tboss without her consent then he is guilty and deserves to be disqualified. But my questions are: What if this same girl has indicated interest in you, given u greenlight in the past and you then make a move?
What if this same girl has kissed multiple guys in the house. What if this same girl has gone to the reckless extent of being 'fingered' on live TV, in the full view of her parents and the world, by a guy she has not known for more than a month? Did the guy who fingered her ask for permission? 

Few weeks ago, Tboss was getting cozy with a young and handsome housemate called Jon. If the beloved Jon had touched her the same way Kemen did, would Nigerian girls also cry about rape? Unfortunately for Kemen, he is ugly, untalented and unbeloved? He is not a talented singer like Jon. He is not someone many girls would want to touch them. So he is coming home soon in shame and disgrace for daring to touch a girl above his level.

There is a legal term known as 'Strict Liability'. In it's most basic form it means 'If you did it, you are guilty'. End of story. In this case Kemen is guilty but is Tboss completely innocent? You decide.

What doesn't make sense to me is why everyone keeps getting so worked up on such trivial issues.
