THE TRIBUNAL PROCEEDINGS

After calling about fifteen witnesses, the APC closed her case yesterday March 15 and the Tribunal adjourned proceedings to April 3, when counsels to the parties will be expected to present and adopt their written address.

Yesterday, the APC made two strategic moves which caught the PDP counsels flatfooted:

First, they submitted a list of agents which was submitted to INEC before the election. The PDP did not do this. You will recall that the APC had earlier ensured that all ward agents that gave evidence tendered their ID cards. The PDP also failed to do this. The two actions proves that APC witnesses are authentic and put question mark on the genuineness of PDP witness. The APC counsels already have the original list of PDP agents submitted to INEC which reveals that 40 percent of their 91 witnesses are impostors!

Note also that a significant number of PDP witnesses were collation agents who were not at the scene of voting. Some claimed that they were ward / collation agents. A claim that will be proved to be false!

Secondly, APC concluded her defense on high note by calling their star witness last - the State Party Chairman. The star witness revealed the following:

1. That the election was free, fair and credible haven been conducted according to the rules and regulations.
2. That INEC called a stakeholders meeting where all parties including the PDP were represented.
3. That at the stakeholders meeting INEC explained how the election will be conducted clearly.
4. He identified the supplementary INEC guideline which was used to conduct the election and identified other exhibits.
5. He said the guideline did not state that a voter should be ticked before voting rather the voter is to be ticked at the point of accreditation after which he goes to vote.

The APC Chairman's testimony was an atomic bomb that shattered the PDP case which was significantly anchored on ticking to the right and left of voters register as condition for proving that the voter was duly accredited and voted. The truth is that the Supplementary INEC guideline issued for the Sept 28th governorship election actually required the inking of the cuticle of the finger before voting, not ticking. In the circumstance, double ticking is not a requirement of law or regulations but superfluous!

Let's wait for the written address of the parties and lets how far ticking to the right and ticking to the left will go. God bless!

This does prove that the APC massively rigged the Edo election. Why hiding your so called "star witness", if what he came to witness to was genuine. Any way the Edo stollen mandate will be surely recovered. "Star witness" or not
