Wtf! I couldn't find any line about this in my text.
I'm not sure of my answer. But I know the pituitary is the master gland and the pancreas doesn't stimulate............its just an insulin production site.

Stanley what's the correct answer?

Guys let's try this....
A catapult used to hold a stone of mass 500g is extended by 20cm with an applied force F. If the stone leaves with a velocity of 40m/s, the value of F is
A. 4.0 x 10²N
B. 2.0 x 10³N
C. 4.0 x 10³N
D. 4.0 x 104N

I noticed there's a gross misconception about this question.
Re: UTME 2017: Thread For Science Jambites by Nobody: 9:49pm On May 02, 2017
I. Its velocity is constant
II. No work is done on the body
III. It has constant acceleration directed away from the centre
IV. The centripetal force is directed towards the centre

Which combination of the above is true of a body moving with constant speed in a circular track?
A. II and IV
B. I and IV
C. II and III
D. I and III

Am sure it is not 3 cos the acc is always directed to towards the center and can't be one also.. I mean its direction is constantly changing I think. Inshort it should be A

Just worked it now, the answer is C.

1/2 mv^2 = 1/2 F e.

Energy in extending the catapult(1/2 F e) = kinetic energy of the stone (1/2mv^2)

Equate and get F

. In the feotus, thats during erythropoesis, the liver helps in RBC formation, though not in adults. So I guess with this spleen should go for the answer. # my point though.

no I think the d liver helps in destruction/breakdown of dead RBC.... thats why it get affected when d RBC are attacked by plasmodium becos it has too much work to do in breaking d destroyed RBC down... PS - my thoughts though...they might be wrong

Pituitary gland
Recheck the question. It made mention of ORGAN not GLAND. If that's the case, from the options the only organ that has something to do with insulin is the pancreas. Pancreas is the answer.

PItuitary is a Gland not an organ. Pancreas is correct, since the question laid emphasis on Organ.
