Nigerians live in a useless country...ruled by an idiot.

Nigerians themselves are so stupid that nobody question anything....is this right?

We have been programmed to insult NEPA and then switch to generator....instead of us to ask "is this right"?
Even God couldn't function in darkness.
The first thing he said was "let there be light".

No country can develop with stable power..Nigeria can't be an exception.
l concur, well said cool

Ali must mandate officials to go from house to house to check for "GENERATOR IMPORT DUTY".

We can't afford to lose such valuable income, as some of these gens may have been smuggled angry

Members of the public must be sensitized on the need to open their gates for custom officials and present them with their original custom papers for each generator set they possess.

While at it, customs may then proceed to check all other imported items in your abode for any illegality. Do be patient with them, as they wpuld need to perform a thorough check on things like your light bulbs, fixtures, toasters, microwave, aircondioners, video games, television sets, clothing, jewelry...

Smuggling is a very serious issue in Nigeria and the consumer is to be blamed.

Somebody is surely benefiting from this darkness..

1. The petrol Stations: They bribe "Nepa" Station close to them so as have influx of customer, directly increase in profit.

2. The importers: Including FG(check annual budget on fuelling/Generator N2b+)

3. The manufacturers: China/the rest... steady power means low production/out of business

4. "Nepa" themselves: Steady light means no "egunje/extra cash" from all of the above

+
Viewing Centres, Western Power (steady power means our development speed increase with high intensity bringing about low dependence on them)

The health implications of the usage of these generators are my own concern! Imagine the amount of carbon monoxide that will be released into the air and people will be inhaling them at home, in the office, along the road, everywhere! And we say we have government! Why won't be continuous record of unexplainable causes of incessant deaths in the country
Re: Nigeria Imports 70 Million Generators by Nobody: 11:26am On Mar 29, 2017
Why not send this your report to minister of generators?

Meanwhile, check your last paragraph, it should be" without" not "with "
Wen you calculate the whole money spent on electricity since 1999 till date you can't help but wonder if that money had been used to import generators cuz that money pass some country's 10yrs budget

What does it take for Nigeria to have steady power supply? Only the money spent by few of our politicians can do that. But some people are somewhere blaming buhari for what I don't know of. Our problems are with our people. The people close to us whom are in politics. Most of them are profiting from the imports of generators. So why would we have constant power??

70 million individual generators multiply by the amount of carbon monoxide each releases into the air.

Are you still wondering why Nigerians die so much?

9jakohai can you see where more dollars are expended by Nigerians.

though i may not have statistics to back this up but i believe Nigerians spend more forex in Energy Consumption (Electricity, fuel and gas) than any other thing you may want to put like overseas education, food import and others. The government won't admit this cause they know they have failed in this area but they will be quick to blame dollar scarcity on Nigerians taste for foreign goods and medical tourism of which they are also consuming.

Nigeria will start developing the day we have stable and affordable energy supply (Electricity, Fuel and Gas both domestic and industrial).

What else should we do? Electricity is a necessity. The government don't care. EEDC gives me #10,000 every month. I buy fuel of #1000 every evening so that I can sleep in peace. Nigeria is hell fire! There is nothing like hell fire in afterlife. Abeg, someone should give me Kenyan Visa.
