The internet and social media is agog with the xenophobia attack on Nigerians in South Africa and now in India.
Even when other countries are talking tough about this attacks, our own government doesn't seem to care about the well being or welfare of its own citizens.

India condemns attack on Nigerians: Top developments

India on Tuesday condemned the violence against Nigerian nationals in Uttar Pradesh and acted swiftly to send out the strong message. Here are the top developments of the day:

ATTACK ON NIGERIANS DEPLORABLE
The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Gopal Baglay today assured that the country is committed to ensuring the safety and security of foreigners in India.
"Yesterday's (Monday) incident in Greater Noida, in which several people of African origin were injured, is deplorable," Baglay said.

AFRICAN STUDENTS DEMAND SECURITY
An association of African students on Tuesday demanded adequate security after the alleged assault on Nigerians in Uttar Pradesh. "In Greater Noida, they (locals) say that Africans 'we don't want you to be here anymore'. These are actually hate crimes towards African community. Africans are not secure in this country," Association of African Students President Samuel Jack said.

He said Africans may not come to India for studies due to safety concerns in the wake of such incidents.

Jack claimed that the alleged attack on African students yesterday was mobilised by local youths.

UP GOVT ASSURES PROBE
Uttar Pradesh government has assured a thorough probe into the incident. "The attack on Nigerians is a serious issue and a serious offence. The state government has taken it seriously and whatever needs to be done under the law and proper investigation shall be done," UP Health Minister Siddharth Nath Singh said, adding the chief minister has already indicated this to the concerned authority.

PROTEST MARCH AGAINST AFRICANS
The protest march was taken out after the police released some Nigerians detained for questioning in connection with the death of 17-year-old boy Manish. Noting that the protesters became violent during the protest march and started beating up the Africans they saw on the road, Sujata Singh, Superintendent of Police, Greater Noida said, "They also went to Ansal Mall and caused havoc and beat up Africans there.
"The police then rescued them and moved them to a safe place," she said.

FIVE ARRESTED IN NOIDA
Five people have been arrested in connection with attacks on African students in Noida, sparking concern over their safety and prompting intervention by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj who has promised immediate action.

"The police had to use force to dissuade people from attacking and arrested five people from the spot. Many of them who were there trying to play mischief have been identified as the entire event had been videographed," Daljit Chaudhary, ADG Law and Order, told reporters in Greater Noida.

An FIR has been registered and action will be taken accordingly, he said.
YOGI FOR FAIR AND IMPARTIAL PROBE
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Tuesday said Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Adityanath Yogi had promised a "fair and impartial" probe.
"I have spoken to Yogi Adityanath ji Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh about attack on African students in Greater Noida. He has assured that there will be a fair and impartial investigation into this unfortunate incident (sic)," Sushma said in a tweet.

They are slow both home and abroad due to cluelessness and being voted to power by sentiments and zoning and refusal to step aside with threats of war for the eligible ones

thats not what am saying..nigerians are not the only ones surviving abroad..even the chinese go through hell..
