pirees:Now people make dis mistake of thinking dat d bible follows a chronological order meanwhile it doesn't. Dat is why u think events in Gen 4:3-26 occured before Gen 5:4 Cain and Abel were first and second but they weren't d only children of Adam. Adam bore sons and daughters and cain married his own sister. Now d way Gen 4:2-end was written makes it look like it only cain and Abel. Read gen 4:3 it says "in d process of time" in between this duration Adam gave birth to sons and daughters If u understand every part of d bible wen u read it den there will be need for theological schools |

blackjack21: But we were made in the image of God. And according to Gen 3:22 "The man has now become like one of us"; after Adam ate from the tree of knowledge, humans became like God but became doomed to die. We had the knowledge of good and evil, just like God. Adam was sent out of the Garden, so that he wouldn't be able to eat from the tree of life as well. And then he would have been able to live forever. Like God? A lot of mysterious messages in the book. |

Friend... that's part of the point precisely. Some things by God's mercies we understand, but because we as human beings are very finite, despite the knowledge and position God has mercifully given us on this planet. We must, by God's grace and mercies alone, come before Him, the Great King Eternal, in humility... even per your example, as a little child, trusting his/her father implicitly... and this not a earthly father, but The Heavenly Father. "And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven." - Matthew 18:2-4 Don't listen to me or anyone else, just please read the Holy Bible... even one chapter at a time, one book at a time. God is good. God is the only true Judge, and only God has the power to forgive sins. "But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins..." - (Matt 9:6, mark 2:10, Luke 5:24) ----- "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." - Isaiah 55:7-9 Peace! ====== TeamSimple: |

hopefulLandlord: You would have been absolutely correct if you are referring to a fellow human. But where you wants to use human code of conduct to judge God; I must say you aren't being articulate. Pot can not tel the poter what to do and how to do it. No mater how much civilized you think yourself to have attained, do not arogate to your "poor" self the position of a reviewer who has the ability and intellect to review God own doings... 1 Like |

Before we were created by God Almighty, He knew us. That ia to say that we have been in existence before creation. God is not a partial God. AS human beings, we read the bible and pick holes from most of the things we have read from the bible but fail to understand that without the help of the Holy spirit, we cannot understand the meaning of most of the things we have read from the bible. He created man in His own image but ONLY sin has separated us from Him. When we sin and repent, we are forgiven and still will be accepted back. Having mercy on whom He wants to have mercy on, is to show us that He is not a man but a Supreme Being. |

Psalm 145:9. The lord is good to all, he shows compassion on all he has made. This is the general grace every of God's creature enjoys. But your attitude towards God will determine how much attention you get from him. 1Samuel2:30, God said i will honour those who honour me and despise those who despise me. Isaiah 1:19, if you are willing and obedient you will eat the good of the land. No one is destined for destruction after the price Jesus paid for us on the cross of calvary. But you must work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Your level of repentance and obedience to God determines how much mercy he will show you. A broken and contrite heart God will not despise. When David sin against God. He broke down in tears and prayed for mercy and God showed him mercy. But in the case of Judas, he killed himself after betraying Jesus instead of asking God for mercy. So once attitude determines how he or she ends. God is never partial. He has given everyone free will to chose between good and evil. refiner: |

I pity sheeples that sit around and wait for "God" to show them mercy and grace, or to turn their destiny around. I used to think that this principle explained the success of the likes of Mark Zuckerberg, Bill gates etc, not until I read Outliners by Malcolm Gladwell. Don't wait for an imaginary "God" to determine where you go in life. Take charge. Learn, study, master skills, read books, move to the right environment, break bad relationships and establish ones with connections to your carrier goal, be determined and let me see the fucker that will stop you. |
