Corruption in FRSC is growing steadily. In Anambra, Awka, Road Safety Corps officers mount at strategic points early morning waiting for workers who are going to work. For commercial motorists, no problem so far as it is standard which means N500 according to one commercial driver friend. When FRSC was established Nigerians thought it would restore sanity. Even on Sundays the officers mount at access roads leading to major churches. One particular lady with children was accosted and booked on her way to church while her little children were crying in the car. I hear that there is now revenue target for officers on duty at the espense of road users. My son was told the other day that his tires had expired. He was really unaware that his new tokunbo car will be in trouble so soon. What a country!

Even the car that was meant to convey a groom to the church was booked on his wedding day. All pleas fell on deaf ears until they paid the fine.

FRSC has deteriorated close to the police and may overtake it if the police doesn't upped its game
