I just went back to do an analysis of the entire NIA's 2015 budget in line with the prevailing FOREX exchange rate as at February 2015 and discovered that the entire budget including for capital was $176.5m.In view of the latest story from the cable newspapers.I am waiting for paper trail that would back up that story and how an amount that is above the budget for that agency could have been withdrawn even as early as in February This $43m found in Ikoyi will go a long way in throwing up a lot of things about how we work in this country and hopefully positively change a how we run things in the country. checks on the website of the Budget Office indicated that the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), is under the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA). https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/news/general/n15bn-efcc-submits-report-to-president/194139.html DOLLARS RATE TO NAIRA FROM JANUARY 2015 TO FEBRUARY 2015 USD:NGN Historical Exchange Rates http://dailymail.com.ng/updated-us-dollars-rates-to-naira-from-january-2015-to-february-2015-usdngn-historical-exchange-rates/ The $176.5m was computed with the February 2015 exchange rate of N189.6/$ February 2015 exchange rate.This is even below the $289M cash said to have been withdrawn by the NIA in February 2015 |
