Hacking and cyber fraud is almost as old as the internet itself. Although several safety measures have been introduced over the years, but it hasn't been that successful as hackers always find their way around it.

Fingerprint is gradually replacing pins and password as it has been proven to be more secured. Most smartphone manufacturers are now equipping most of their smartphones with fingerprint sensors and now it seems like the e-commerce industry is also buying into that idea.

MasterCard has just introduced a new credit card with built in card reader. The new credit card which is currently being test runned in South Africa is expected to hit other regions before the end of the year.

Aside the more added security, this new technology will also make payments with your credit card more convenient as you will now have to tap on the fingerprint scanner on your card to authorize a transaction instead of typing the traditional 4 digit pin.

Keep in mind that this new biometric will not replace the 4 digit pin as that will be available as an alternative in case the fingerprint scanner fails probably due to greasy or at hand.

Nope....

It doesn't need battery, solar or anything...
Also the newly added biometric scanner does not increase the thickness or weight of the card

This would increase theft very easily, if you can get a fingerprint sample of your target the cash is as good as gone. This is a good idea but will make theft in the first world countries very high

No it's not as easy as you think..... Even though there is a way to almost all security system, there is no doubt fingerprint is way more secured when compared to pin and password
