Hmmmm my brother almost totally forget about owning a car when he bought Skoda. The car taught him a lesson he will not forget in a hurry.

Those car you mention especially Toyota if you buy it brand new it will take you good ten years before think of repair ask Davido he will tell you better

honda!!! cheap to maintain?!...i can tell you first hand...you are wrong! even roadside mechanics will bleed you on your honda...And Volkswagen isn't too expensive if you know your way!

Lol truth is Benz is really really expensive to maintain. Once Benz spoil for road ul need a mechanic who's an expert in Benz to repair it. Not all mechanic can repair Benz, ion know about Lexus shaa

When you guys talk about BMW and Mercedes, you need to let people know that it's not the old school BMW or Mercedes-Benz. It's the recent ones that are tough to maintain.

Lexus is not cheap to maintain,fuel consumption alone is sickening.Do you know how much the radiator of Lexus RX300 cost?

Cars should be compared based on the average and common models.And not basing analyses on the cost of the mirror or head light of a new model.

Mercedes Benz is the cheapest to maintain,you Can get a c-class engine for as low as 50k.you can easily get grade A Belgium parts for different models.

Toyota is also cheap to maintain,parts are cheap and available.low fuel consumption

Honda cars are quite unreliable,the parts are cheap and available but you will be visiting the mechanic frequently. same with Voltzwagen.

Kia is very difficult to maintain,you can't even get their parts to buy as Belgium.

OP must be high...... MERCEDES BENZ is one of the cheapest cars to maintain judging from the fact that the parts are not only readily available and cheap but also, once you change a certain part, you might as well forget about ever changing it. That is if you buy original parts.... Compare it with the amount you will spend on constant changing of one part in other cars over and over again...

Different strok for different folks.. I have used 4 models of Honda Models and sincerely am Planning to move to the newly shaped saloon. Very pocket friendly to mentain and durable. Though i also have a C Class benz i used during weekends.

lol... O you findings well.... While I agree not all mechanics can work a Benz, I am also very certain there are a lot ot specialists around. You can even find them here on nairaland or ask people who drive sound benzes where they work their cars. You can even work a Benz yourself cos they re relatively easy to fix with lots of YouTube DIY videos to point you in the right direction. Benz is bae....

Fuel consumption of any car is a variable that depends on loads of factors so its not a yard stick to measure any car's efficiency rather the Engine capacity is a bench mark.I notice lot of us here do not even k now the Engine capacity of the car they drive.you can not compare a camry 2.2 and a camry 1.8, they look same but different Engine size.
Most cars we term expensive to maintain is all due to myth In reality the so called cheaper cars are more expensive to maintain cos if we buy the original parts all of a sudden we will scream expensive, but cars like VW and Mer.BMW and Audi hardy have fake parts littering the mkts.
