This is why history must be taught in our schools. Those who neglect History are bound to repeat the mistakes of the past. Please read below and and learn. BEWARNED!!!!!!!

The Gross influx of Fulani herdsmen presently and now calls for the sharing of this history.
By John TAll JUKUNS SHOULD READ THIS.

The story is told of how King Yunfa, the Hausa Sarki in Gobir (now called Sokoto) hosted a Fulani immigrant called Usman Dan Fodiyo and his group in February 1804, as a result of this and since 1808 the whole of the northern region lost its kingdoms and were replaced by Fulani emirates.

King Yunfa is said to have been killed in 1808 and the Fulani warrior (Usman Dan Fodiyo) established Sokoto caliphate, making himself Sultan.

Gradually, other Hausa kingdoms were pillaged and taken over by the Fulani emirs. The ethnic groups in the core north were the first victims of Fulani imperialism, a venture that occurred because the people were given access to grazing land as a result of the hospitality of the hosts.

They however failed to overrun the Bornu and Jukun kingdoms , so the Shehu of Bornu and Aku Uka remains paramount till today!

The Afonja dynasty compromised by allowing a Fulani warrior known as Janta Alimi to settle in Ilorin, the Fulani guerrillas killed Afonja in 1824

And Ilorin, a Yoruba town under the Oyo empire, fell into Fulani hands, becoming an emirate under Sokoto caliphate till today! Even the attempts of the O'odua People's Congress (OPC) to revert to status quo ante and crown an Onilorin of Ilorin became an exercise in futility.

The Yoruba warriors got wise and defeated the Fulani jihadists in Osogbo in 1840, if this didn't happen there would most likely have been Fulani "emirs" as rulers in Oyo Alaafin, Ibadan, Owo, Osogbo, Ede, Ado, and Igede Ekiti today!

If the Bini Kingdom did not fight and repel the jihadists, they would have penetrated the Edo/Delta region beyond the present day Edo North Senatorial District which gave in and allowed the jihadists to overrun & islamize them.

Along with some ignorant folk most of them are now angling for grazing areas and a corridor through the entire federation. These grazing areas will in future become Fulani settlements, later commmunities and finally local government areas with elected officials.
If you think I am being alarmist look towards the once beautiful and serene Middle Belt state of Plateau.

The exact same thing happened in Jos.

Therefore, it will not be farfetched to conclude that the Fulani herdsmen are pawns in an agenda to overrun all towns in Nigeria! So that we will have emirs in Owerri, Enugu, Benin, Agatu,Wukari, Abeokuta and other towns where FG creates "grazing reserves" for Fulani herdsmen!

If Yunfa didn't accommodate Fodio and his warlike immigrants from Futatoro, Hausa sarkis would be ruling today in the north!

And if Afonja didn't conspire with Alimi, a Yoruba kingdom would not have been ruled by Alimi's offspring till today!

It is a subtle continuation of the 1804 Fulani jihad by the fully-armed and protected Fulani herdsmen with an age-old agenda to overrun and Islamize the whole of Nigeria very quickly.

I will end this with what someone rightly said- "The grazing bill is not an attempt to solve the problem, it's a subterfuge to progress the agenda"

It's an age-old political strategy really- ..create a problem, come up with a "solution" that advances the cause, and then give it a legal backing.
Make it look like a win-win situation.

Be as wise as serpents....

I have every reason to agree with you. The Fulani jihadist are propelled by only one thing - Power. The rate at which they are planning to fight in Nigeria Delta also suggest they are after the resources as well. Don't bate an eyelid in forcing them out of every southern state. Don't even negotiate for peace for even 30 seconds. A typical Fulani herdsmen is arrogantly stupid and confidently Wicked. He in his demonic mind thinks life starts and ends with him. Don't even negotiate for a second.

Some brief Historical Reminiscences:-
Woes
1, Arab incursion causing the establishment of the Caliphate and Emirates in various communities in Nigeria. And deliberately crossing natural boundaries of Rivers Niger and Benue to kill and brutalize different tribal groups in Nigeria.
2, Civil War. The Unrest that started in Kano between Hausa/Fulani Arabs and IBO's in the sixties and ended in the most gruesome civil war Nigeria ever fought.
3, Biafra started as Reappraisal of the civil war but has now developed into a Cancer threatening the very existence of Nigeria.
4, Bokoharam. This is an extended Arab Incursion that came rampaging Christian Communities with cheap shots propaganda of hatred for Western Civilization.
5, Now Fulani Herdsmen Vandalism

Blessings from our Heroes past.
1, Lord Lugard gave us one Nigeria. He was a Nigerian Hero. God bless his Spirit.
2, Zik, Awo, Ahmadu Bello won for us Independence. They and many more who subscribed to the Independence were Nigerian Heroes. God bless all their Spirits.
3, Our Military successfully compartmentalized Nigeria into 36 States for better management and understanding of our relative strengths and weaknesses. They arranged excellent governance for the States and created a central Federal Unit for cooperation and external relationship gathering and fostering. May God bless our Military and especially Gowon, Murtala, OBJ, IBB, AA and those who contributed in no selfish way to the Unity of Nigeria.

Expectations.
Our Legislators have not been ascribed with achievements other than speaking Grammar and jumping out of their windows whenever a gun trotting Military Major suddenly appears before them.
Whereas, all we are asking is for them to make History relevant to themselves by amending the Exclusive Lists to limit Federal Responsibilities to Foreign Affairs, Military and Treaties.
And free States to make meaningful economic and social arrangements and internal Treaties with themselves as they please.
Traditional Rulers are grassroots Proprietors. Local Governments belong to them. State Resources sourcing should be made in agreement with them. May God be our Legislators' Instructor, Director and Discernment

My brother you are following their plans.
They are following the guide line their great grand father (USMAN DAN FODIO) leave for them to follow and ever since that time they are trying to archive that their old time dream goal by all means.

1 Usman told them in 1804,
Usman wrote: “The government of a country is the government of its king without question. If the king is a Muslim, his land is Muslim; if he is an unbeliever, his land is a land of unbelievers. In these circumstances it is obligatory for anyone to leave it for another country”

2 In October 1960, 11days after indpendent Sir Almadu bello out of joy he said;-
The new nation called Nigeria should be an estate of our great-grandfather, Uthman Dan Fodio. We must ruthlessly prevent a change of power. We use the minorities of the North as willing tools and the South as a conquered territory and never allow them to rule over us, and never allow them to have control over their future.

3 Now they have come up with the plan to have Sharia court and grazing reserve in the whole state, Why..........? All because they have not archive their plan to conquer the whole Nigeria.

If they archive this new grand plan. Tell me, can we now say that this geo-political zone in Nigeria belong to this tribe again..............?.
In terms of Sharia court; Two captain can not be in the same ship. Where their court is, there is always an Emir with them and their Police E.T.C. Now the tribe that have OBA, OBI or IGWE, will they still exist with their Emirs...........?

Anyway the history is about to repeat itself soon again...... What do i mean ...?
What cause the civil war is around the conner, if care is not taken the alarm will blow soon. The northerners need to restructure this country they way it is in 1960, (TRUE FEDERALISM). I know that it is too had for them to accept now but that is just the way out or Nigeria will seize to exit soon.

I know that the exact year our colonial master give to to last have elapse last year we are now in the injury time. A line must return to it starting point to make a circle and Nigeria have return.
1914-1960 = 46 years
1970-2016 = 46 years
The whistle will blow very soon, I MEAN VERY SOON. At least we have whistle blowers now.
OH THERE WAS A COUNTRY!!!!

Yeah the grazing reserves doesn't need to be federal issue. It's best left to states to figure out solutions.

Kano decided to set up grazing reserves.

Ekiti decided to bann grazing a certain times.

Benue banned open grazing and cattle drives.

Akwa Ibom only decided to start ranch so it's unknown if the will follow Ekiti lead.
