mykel25: Yes that are expensive to live in but you have greater opportunities in those big cities too. Some ppl live in Sydney and study in Newcastle / Wollongong Unis. Since they are 2hrs and 1:30hrs respectively by car. There is no much difference in tuition fees accross Unis in Australia. Accommodation are different due to job opportunities. You will earn 5 points on PR application via csol if you study in a regional area. Northern Territory, Tasmania are considered regional areas but finding jobs in those areas may prove difficult. If I was in your situation, I do find a school in Newcastle or Wollongong, live in Sydney then shuttle to school for lectures as lectures are once or twice a week depending on the courses you have chosen for the semester / trimester. 5 Likes |

Your contributions to this thread is wonderful and well appreciated. Pls what can you tell me about Federation University ballarat. Am about sending my certified documents to them. Am applying for a 2 yr course with them, I have a total of 5.5mill available to me, will this be enough to pay for my coe and oshc as well as proof of funds for visa application I plan on having another sponsor, I also have proof of landed properties as part of my docs. Pls will this fly? WestAfrican: |

chimax1:Been to Federation Uni in Ballarat, beautiful but not that huge compare to other unis i.e. Unsw and UON. Well its roughly about 1.5hrs away from Melbourne. Met a few Nigerian students then who live in Melbourne while studying in Ballarat. I think it could be considered a regional area you have to cross check on that. If it is, you can get a 5 points on your PR csol application after graduation. N5.5m is roughly AUS17k (+/-). Am not sure what the deposit for that school is but lets say it is $10k then you are left with $7k. Usually the oshc and some of your first term tuition fees are included in your ecoe. Assuming your tuition fees is $60k for two years (not sure what course you have applied for). Anyhow, you do need a sponsor to proof they have sufficient fund to cover some of your tuition fees plus living expenses in Australia. Some people here have claimed not to imclude a bank statement in there application. You may want to verify that and follow suit but then you need to have your SOA ready incase your CO request for it. Some of us here mag find this link relevant im finding schools, what the tuition fees of your course is and who to contact for further information. http://cricos.education.gov.au/Course/CourseList.aspx?LocationID=5606 Godspeed. 4 Likes |

Mozoe: Am wondering why you are hesitant about using your husband as your sponsor. Trust me it would be really tough if not near impossible to be a self sponsor with just 3million in your account. My advise is if hubby got funds in his account and has a steady source of income, he should stand as your sponsor. |

Mozoe:Its better you try a country with free tuition like Germany or Norway. 4m should be an ideal amount to cover for at least one year. 1 Like |

Hello guys. Please quick one I want to know is a statement of 7.5m will fly I have payed for tuition 11.5aud. So the 7.5, is the balance plus those the money have to remain it that account for the period of visa application till grant is received or we can continue to transact with it Many thanks |
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by zeemo2007: 10:56am On Sep 11, 2017 |
EMMAACHILE: She will still need a good statement of account irrespective unless the school is AL1 and even most applicants to AL1 submitted bank statements to the school and embassy. |
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by zeemo2007: 10:57am On Sep 11, 2017 |
Blazegab: Though it is better it remains in the account in case the requested for another soa for any reason. 7.5m is good if you also have good inflow and outflow. Also the relationship between the student and the sponsor matters. 7.5 is good if the sponsor is an immediate family. |
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by zeemo2007: 11:02am On Sep 11, 2017 |
liliberth: Not mentioning it will affect your chances because they already have your information as a previous applicant. It is better you include both certificates, it doesnt matter people have double degrees and master's. I believe it will also help your application as it shows you are keen on studying by having many degrees. Also mention both in your sop and give reasons. 1 Like |

WestAfrican: Hello boss. Thanks for all your help. I'm applying for a course that has duration of 1.5 years (because of the cheap cost). Please what can I do to make up the remaining 5 months, can I apply for another course after that? What is my fate after 1.5 years in Aussie? |
