and if i complain, what will you do? He was probably born and brought up abroad. He doesn't have the "zoological brain" to rule us.

This same mentality of urs has made the old generation fail us. Ur generation is about to fail the next and u dare to type this? Newly elected France president is 39, Revolution is sweeping away old packs of dirty politicians but u're top blind to see that. Keep counting on Buhari for change then

A national debate that would be televised across the country would be great. Let all the contenders for the office of the President come out. It's time for the display of brains.

I have once said something like this before that majority of the youths in this country are not futuristic. What we need in this country is to embrace young technocrat as our leader. I have once advocated for the youth political party before, what did I get as a reward? The youth are parochial in their thinking, they sold us to the initial ruling party.
I believe one day, NYP will come to stay and solve the problem of Nigeria. God Bless Nigeria

nextstep:

If the younger generation 18-45 all troop out vote for him or another idealist, they can overwhelm the aging, tribalistic population

That's the problem - we haven't heard him speak so we don't know exactly how suitable he is for the top job (and we need someone that knows what he is doing, regardless of tribe, religion or even age to some extent [at this point, I don't think anyone over 65 has any business running for president]). Well, there is still some time before 2019 but if he intends to put up at least a good show, he and others like him have to start now to make moves and show themselves worthy for the job.

Funny boy. Though it is a good intention but the elite won't even allow u smell Councillor seat not to talk of Chairman.

In Nigeria you must be corrupt to a certain level before you can be considered. Both by the electorate and Elites.

The thing is
1. You must have money to throw around the youth if you wanna become anything.
2. You must be corrupt to bribe party officials on your nomination.
3. Nobody care to know if you are good. The money speaks for you.
4. You must be submissive to Royal fathers, Kings and chiefs even if the poo on you.
5. You must have money to bribe the electorate on the day of election if not the highest bidder takes the day.
6. You must be loyal to one Godfather before nursing any ambition.
7. You must be a very good liar. Just like one politician that said he don't like money.

If you are ready to do this then you cannot fight corruption and make the country better as you claim.

Buhari will tell you more..lol

he needs to tell us how he would achieve those things... what special insight does he have or else it would just be another buhari or gej that promise and dont deliver.

In 2019 I will only vote for a politician who tell me this is how I will achieve this ....

this is how I will give Nigerians quality education,

this is how I will give Nigerians light

this is how I will make our airport work

Stop telling me what is the problem with Nigerian and stop promising me u will fix them

Tell me how that's what I want yo hear

From founding ( which is obviously the main problem ) to how u will get the national assemble to work with u ..to time frame

Nice but unfortunately I don't vote because in Nigeria, your vote don't count. What counts is those that do the counting. . I would have used same ideology.
