Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria is a professional health regulatory agency for the professions of Medicine, Dentistry and Alternative Medicine in Nigeria.

The MDCN, since its establishment in 1963 has had a rewarding and growth-filled adventure, in its regulatory activities. A testament to this is the large number of practitioners that have been produced by Nigerian medical and dental training institutions who are providing excellent services in Nigeria and many other countries around the world. This makes the MDCN one of the foremost medical regulatory authorities in Africa.
Across all of our zonal offices and at headquarters in Abuja, the staff of the MDCN come to work committed to our mission and focused on providing exceptional regulatory services.

We shall, this year, be testing and applying new strategies for organizational renewal and growth, particularly in the area of employing Information Technology (IT) in the delivery of our services. Our ever-growing challenges demand that we modernize our approach to problem-solving. The MDCN shall improve on the content of its Newsletter, make its production more regular and publish it in our web portal, to keep all stakeholders abreast with developments in the MDCN. This will be one of the ways we communicate with our numerous stakeholders.

We have not forgotten that MDCN can only achieve its mandate by working with the various states of the Federation of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory; the Nigerian Medical Association, the Nigerian Dental Association and other stakeholders. We are determined to improve collaboration with these groups of people to improve on the delivery of health services to Nigerians and all persons who live in Nigeria.

Application/Payment for services
(This option is for registered practitioners who have updated their records online with the Council by filling the online form accessible from their profile ).

Steps:

Login to your profile at mdcn.gov.ng.
On the left hand side while in your profile, select the service for which application/payment is to be made. (Select ‘other payments’ option to make payments not on the list).
Fill the short application form that will open, submit then click ‘proceed to make payment’.
You can pay for more services at once by using the ‘continue shopping’ option.
Click on ‘Process Checkout’ after selecting the total amount to be paid.
Click on ‘Confirm’ if your details that is displayed from the database is correct, if not edit.
Click on ‘Pay now’ for a re-direct to the remita platform where payment is made to the MDCN.
Continue by following the screen information to complete your payment.
Click on ‘Back Home’ on the transaction status receipt to go back to your profile.
Click on your name at the top right corner to Log out after the session.
