Whynotthetruth:

This is why I keep questioning your education, certificate & sanity cheesy

1)Who does these rating and what criteria were used?

2)Is it about infrastructural development or human capital development in those rating?

3) Does my attending an IVY university automatically metamorphose to my being an outstanding cum intelligent candidate?

4) Why not Google MDA PERFORMANCE RATING or achievements ratio for SE & SW for any years of your choice by INDEPENDENT, REPUTABLE and FOREIGN organizations?

5)Why not Google NUC, Ministry of Education etc data or cut off marks for accepting candidates into Unity schools?

6)Do you believe that Easterners can manipulate their WAEC, NECO etc results even when such unbiased competitive contests for graduates as PRESSID showed them as champions too?

7)So how come their performance outside the borders of Nigeria doesn't reflect same mediocrity you want us to believe about them in Nigeria ?

Heal your soul Bro !!!

You reminded me of the PRESSID stuff. cheesy After several stats from primary school to uni entrance level showed the SE's educational pre-eminence, they were using their initial dominance of that PRESSID scholarship as some kind of evidence that they were the better scholars. I told them at the time that as with many advantages of being in Nigeria's nerve centre, they just had better access to information than people in other regions and many eligible SE candidates weren't applying (I know plenty from UNN that couldn't apply). By the second time, we had almost caught up. By the last time it was organized before bad belle Northern senators scrapped the merit scholarship, the SE alone accounted for 60% of the list and were dominating. Yet, you have a lot of Yorubas who still delude themselves that they're educationally ahead, when the reality is that all they had was a generational advantage that we've wiped out and right now, we match them step for step in any educational and intellectual attainments.

360metrosports:
The Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) says more than 10,000 candidates caught for examination malpractices in the on-going UTME in Anambra have been handed over to the appropriate authority.

Mrs Lynda Nwachukwu, the Coordinator of the board in Anambra disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Awka on Saturday.

NAN reports that the all computer-based testing (CBT) mode 2017 UTME, which started on May 13 in 642 centres nationwide, ended on May 20.

Nwachukwu said that the examination, which took place in 28 centres in the state, was successful.

“There was no disruption of the exercise in any of the examination centres,’’ she said.

The coordinator said that the candidates adhered strictly to the requirements of the examination, adding that JAMB provided all the materials required for the examination.

NAN correspondent, who monitored the last batch of the examination, reports that some parents complained of system failure in some CBT centres in the state.

Mrs Eucharia Okonkwo, a parent, said her daughter, who wrote the examination at the St Mary’s High School Ifite-Dunu centre, could not complete the examination due to the faulty computer and network failure at the centre.

According to her daughter, many candidates could not complete the questions in record time because of the faulty system.

Okonkwo advised JAMB to plan well for examination in subsequent years to avoid the technical hitches that could give the candidates psychological trauma.

Dr. Mose Mojekeh, Head, Department of Marketing at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, told NAN on a telephone, that such system failure in UTME was not acceptable.

According to him, the hiccups could potentially deny young people from Anambra State, university admission.

Mojekeh advised JAMB to urgently collate the number of candidates affected and set another examination for them.

He also decried the practice whereby JAMB sends officials from one state to supervise examinations in another state.

“Experience has shown that such officials do not care much about the candidates when problems arise, as they leave them to their fate,’’ the lecturer said.

He called on the management of schools, whose candidates experienced the computer failure, to take their complaints to the State Ministry of Education to present their cases.

NAN reports that the JAMB concluded its CBT on May 20. (NAN)

If you fell for this falsely titled fake news, shame on you.
You need to ask for your refund from that evening English lesson you took.

Maybe it's another attempt to preempt another expected better and solid Anambra state performance than all illiterate northern states combined.

Nowhere did the article describe cheating, even from 'the co-ordinator who stated this'

The headlines should have been 10,000 Anambra students take JAMB with difficulty, but no, the editors had to satisfy his political agenda!
Unfortunately, people with poor comprehension, tribal bigots, and semi-educated sycophants are falling heads over heel for a fake news item, thanks to the Hausa published Naij.com, and now nairaland.

No wonder they always bring out the highest scores... JAMB should review all the JAMB results for Anambra state for the last decades.... and deflate them all...
they should start with your generation first

Exactly my point.
They want to have a reason to preempt the potentially superior Anambra state result compared to say Zamfra with yeye mouth! Unfortunately, they were caught pants down.

I am not saying act of cheating won't be recorded in SW region but the examination rules are very strict which leaves little room for exam malpractice and also candidates most time here rely on the studies.

If you look at Jamb result, you will observed that the SW performance is more compare to SE(that doesn't mean yours is not high) but my question is why is your WAEC result dominance not reflecting on JAMB overall performance and higher institution standards?

Dirty Afonja man! Hatred of the igbos fit kill you. Take it easy cos the more you hate them, the more they progress in life. Ibos don't even care if you exist, so why take panadol for their headache? Better go think on how you will be useful to your family and stop hating a tribe that don't give a hoot about your opinion on them. Peace!

1)Most times, the IQ of those trying to ridicule others here shows that it is purely envy and hatred poisoned living that's disturbing them...Maybe when I confront you with FACTS & EVIDENCE now, you will run as usual cheesy

2)So to you, SW pupils concentrate on their studies to succeed while SE concentrate on expo? Even when "Oluwole" is a Yoruba word with a PROMINENT location...Aside Osun state, I can personally discuss ALL SW states... because I have been to ALL...can you do same for SE? And also, having lived in Lagos for substantial period, I am NOT a stranger to SW system wink If you are truly EDUCATED & EXPOSED, some myopic sentiments will flee far from you. Ability to read and write doesn't mean education bro .

3)Instead of the nonsensical and myopic comparison between WAEC and JAMB performance by you here...An educated individual would have googled or sought out MDA PERFORMANCE RATING especially in EDUCATION for SE vis a vis SW by INDEPENDENT cum FOREIGN organizations for some named years...that would have shown you which region is doing what educationally... Drawing such MYOPIC cum BIGOTED conclusion as yours makes your own higher institution certificate acquisition questionable. Because your sense of reasoning doesn't depict that of a "graduate".

4)In all, It is a faceless forum but NEVER a senseless world...Think before you write!!!

Well said bro! Is pure envy and hatred. They are bitter seeing how the Igbos have overtake them after the civil war. It is on record that an average IBO man is better off to an Afonja man despite all their manipulations to pull an IBO man down.
