It is quite disturbing to see ( Ibrahim Babangida, Obasanjo, Danjuma, etc ) still running Nigeria by PROXY with their cronies.

Former Military President Ibrahim Babangida who failed to carry out a smooth transition to democratic rules in Nigeria is still beating his chest wanting to teach us democratic norms. He is now the co-chairman of pdp after Muazu with his house serving as a meeting point for politician. We all saw the huge number of politicians who gather at IBB home when his last daughter got married some few days back.

This event tells the picture that IBB as he is often referred to want to stage a political comeback having help to destroy democracy in Nigeria.

The other day I saw pictures of former President Olusegun Obasanjo being welcomed to Maiduguri Airport in Borno state, by governor Shetima.

As old as Obasanjo is, he can't even stay at home to rest having served as military head of state and civilian president? Is Nigeria his personal property that he can continue to massage and masturba8e over?

Take the like of Barack Obama, David Cameroun, Tony Blair, Late Margaret Thatcher, Bill Clinton, George Bush Snr and George Bush Jnr, Helmut Kohl of Germany etc when this men left public office you do not see them again in public or government businesses except in some fewer instances.

But in Nigeria, the IBB, Obj, Jonathan are still hanging around as if their placenta is tied to the country and its future.

If not for the fact that Obasanjo is bound by the Nigerian constitution this man is prepared to be like Gaddafi of Libya. He strongly cherished to be a life president. He forgot where he started. If not for the Dimka/Bissala coup of 1976 which resulted in the death of General Murtala Muhammed, Obasanjo will not have even smell the position of head of state of Nigeria.

As mother luck will have it, Obasano benefited from the death of Murtala and MKO Abiola to become Head of State and President of Nigeria in two succession. But instead of being grateful to God he is desiring more and more, biting off more than he can chew and swallow.

Obasanjo should learn to quit the stage, history has been kind to him but he must respect the notion that he must quit now and take rest.

Obasanjo go to your house and rest jare! Nigeria does not belong to you!

Does our education encourage intellectualism? In our universities, do the lecturers encourage those who think out of the box?
