‘Shame on you’ – Fani-Kayode blasts Adamu Adamu for serving in Buhari’s government

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has called out Nigeria’s Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu for working with a government “that is killing and incarcerating Shiite Muslims.”

Recall that the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, IMN, Sheikh Ibrahim El Zakzaky and his wife Zeenat has been in the DSS custody.

Fani-Kayode said instead of working with the government, the Education Minister should seek ways to secure release of his leader and his wife.

He wrote on Twitter, via @realFFK, “Adamu Adamu is Minister of Education.

“He is a Shiite Muslim. How can he serve in a govt. that slaughters and commits mass murder against his Shia brothers and sisters and that mutilates and blinds their leader and locks him and his wife up illegally and indefinitely. Shame on him!

“It is the will and law of God to fight for freedom, equity and justice. Our cause is just.
“What we must NOT do is use violence or shed blood.”

I think Adamu Adamu is not a follower of Zakzaky or a member of the IMN, even though he's Shia Muslim. However, Zakzaky still remains a Shia cleric and respected personality for whom shia all across the world staged solidarity rallies for after the Zaria Massacre in December, 2015.
