18YEARS OF NIGERIA DEMOCRACY AND SEN. DR. ANDY UBA'S CONTRIBUTIONS.


From 1999, Nigeria migrated from autocracy to democracy which had Chief Olusegun Christian Obasanjo as the first democratic President in Nigeria. In the era of Obasanjo leadership, Sen. Dr. Andy Uba saved as one of the closest aid to the President.

Sen. Uba, been a refined gentle man who believes in true democracy, equity and fairness, contributed immensely of his quoter towards the achievement of democracy especially as it affects the Eastern part of Nigeria.

His instinct contributions made Ndi-Igbo to have benefitted the most democratical dividends and federal character sharing formula in the regime of Chief Obasanjo.

After since the tenor of Chief Obasanjo, Ndi-Igbo has not been such opportune, just because the man who knows the way forward is no longer in the mainstream of power.

In 2011, Andy Uba first contested for Senate and won, on his arrival at Senate house, he performed extremely well which fetched him victory in his second term election in 2015.

Thus, his performance as he continued in his second term in Senate, has perfectly shown to all that he worth been the next governor of Anambra state. With all the good constituency projects he has done across Anambra south senatorial district in which he represents and also, the numerous bills he has sponsored as a Legislator in the Red Chamber, has clearly dignified him as an exemplary of a good Democrat.

Sen. Dr. Andy Uba has really done great to better our democracy, I believe that he will thus perform beyond what he has done as the Governor of Anambra state come 17th March 2018.
