Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU Cut Off Mark For 2017/2018 Is Out Online. by Need2learnmuch: 6:12am On May 30, 2017
There are certain criteria to be
observed by students before
being admitted to study in any
of the courses in any university.
One of these which include
meeting the required cut of mark for each schools’ as well
as the courses itself. It is very
easy to obtain admission if one
has met the required cut off
mark for the admission into a
particular course.

Cut off mark is an agreed
score set by a particular
institution as a basics of
admitting students into
the department of study.
This score is usually accredited to candidates
based on their
performance in a
particular examination.
However, students who
have scored above the required cut off mark will
be given admission and
preferentially treated in
admission process above
those who have met the
exacts cut off mark.

OAU JAMB Fixed Cut-off Mark
2017

Following the scrapping out of
post UTME by the federal
government, the Joints
Admission and Matriculation
board (JAMB) had given a bench
mark of 180 and above for candidates applying for
Universities, Polytechnics,
Colleges of Education. Hitherto,
the Obafemi Awolowo University has follow suit in the 180 general cut of mark of JAMB.

You might ask questions like: I
had 180 and above but was not
still given the admission to
study my desired course?

Candidates with higher scores
are first considered in admission
basics candidates with lower
scores though might meet the
cut off mark of 180 may likely
not be admitted. In fact, it is the higher your scores, the higher
the chance of being admitted.

OAU Departmental Cut-off
Mark 2017

The Obafemi Awolowo University does not really have a specific cut off mark for
courses. However, candidates
who have scored a minimum of
one 180 in UME examination is
eligible to apply for admission
into any of their choice courses.

Due to the high number of
students wishing to study in the Obafemi Awolowo University, the admission processes is
competitive and admissions is
given based on the higher the
jamb scores, the higher the
chances of being admitted.

A MUST-READ FOR ALL OAU ASPIRING STUDENTS AT ALL LEVELS (PREDEGREE APPLICANTS, UTME APPLICANTS, DE APPLICANTS, AND POSTGRADUATE APPLICANTS)
Excerpts: Year in year out, jambites who choose OAU in their matriculation application—after doing “well”—in their UTME just come to OAU to write the Post-UTME thinking gaining admission to OAU will never be any difficult than cooking noodles; but at the end of it all, most of them always get disappointed. I’m—on this note—making this article to make some things clear on the things OAU applicants must know if they’ll be admitted. I enjoin you to read this article and digest it if you are processing your admission to OAU or you’re aspiring to be in OAU someday...(open link to continue reading http://wuyisblog..com.ng/2017/10/oau-admission-rush.html)

Excerpts: Talking of blasting OAU Post-UTME, you know, it sounds funny to me that almost everyone of the candidates are always thinking they are capable of blasting OAU Post-UTME like it’s not even an exam—courtesy all the past questions on OAU Post-UTME they have tackled and trashed. They all think OAU Post-UTME exam is the simplest in the world, because all the questions asked are questions that are very easy to relate to. Even the tutors too, and the past questions, they are always making their students and readers (respectively) feel too confident over “blasting” the Post-UTME. But in the end, after the results are released, the news is always the same: “oh, there is mass failure"... Re: Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU Cut Off Mark For 2017/2018 Is Out Online. by wuyisblog: 11:59pm On Oct 12, 2017
Excerpts: "...if OAU had a permanent cutoffs they use every year, and then almost all the candidates perform excellently above the cutoffs in the screening, would OAU be capable of giving almost all the applicants admission? And on the other side, if almost all the candidates fail in the screening, would that mean just fewer-than-normal amount of the candidates will be admitted? This is why OAU doesn’t have permanent cutoffs. So if anyone posts any cutoff from 2 years ago, learn how to not even use it to judge what the cutoff for this year would be—you would be disappointed, or surprised when the real cutoffs are released..." About the slots-trading that I mentioned earlier on, I must let you know that even if you have anyone to whom you have submitted your admission request and they are using a slot they have or have bought for you, please don’t leave them alone, don’t let them rest, let them feel your urge for the admission, because without that, believe me, no matter how much they have collected from you for the slot they are using for you, there will be people who will be willing to pay more after the cutoffs are released, and trust me, most runsmen don’t have enough strength to rebuke any better offer considering what the new candidate is paying more than you. They will just return your money to you after the admission lists are released and your name is not there, and even at that it’ll still mean they gained while you lose. Even if the person you know is only given you the slot and not selling it to you, they could still remove your file and replace it with another person’s file that has a better relationship with them than you do (relationship seriously matters in OAU). In this case when your name is replaced with another’s on a slot meant to be used for you, it would only be that when the admission list is released and your name isn’t on it, this your supposed benefactor will never tell you they replaced your with another person’s, they will only create a believable story for you as par why your name is not on the list and ask you to write UTME again next year with the promise that they will be there for you through it all. So please, be on the safe side, whoever it is you have running your admission processes for you; whether you paid them for that or they are just doing it for free, please give them no breathing space! In fact, live in their phone! If you know what I mean. Read the full write-up here>>>>>http://wuyisblog..com/2018/09/oau-departmental-cutoff-as-we-wait-tags.html

These Things about OAU Departmental Cutoffs
If you are an OAU aspirant or a relative of one, at some point just after the UTME or after the Post-UTME, you will definitely type something like “OAU cutoff mark” in the Google search engine, just because you want to know your admission fate or that of your ward. This is okay, only that most people don’t get to know OAU has never and will never have a departmental cutoff for a particular admission year until after the Post-UTME has been done and the results analyzed. This means if you are a 2020/2021 OAU aspirant, you have to know that whatever cutoff you’ve been seeing everywhere online cannot just be the cutoff OAU is using this admission year. When you Have Changed Your Choice of Course in your UTME but the Old Course is Still Reflecting on Your OAU Post-UTME
It is very normal that between when UTME results are released and when admission offering is over, applicants will have the need to change their choices of institution or/and courses, it’s very normal. But I have to tell you that this is one of the very rampant but overlooked reasons why a lot of people lose their admission—especially when it has to do with OAU. Read me right please, changing your choices of course within OAU is not a problem at all, it only becomes a problem when you do the changing of course at a wrong time; and there are so many wrong times to change your course if you are aspiring to be offered an admission in OAU.
