TURN IT TOO LOW.. And damage the same eyes.. grin grin
Reducing your time with those devices is the best thing to do.. I am a victim here... Just warning you guys theres no other way you can only slow down the damages with those antireflective measures but the damage STILL occurs.. grin grin grin

These days blue light is the major cause of eye serious eye damage... Smartphones companies should include the blue light defender feature in their coming devices.

Nice one, but its not just phones, anything with a display whether CRT,LCD,LED harms the eyes, even the books we read.

Ever since the invention of writing man has had all sorts of eye problems, we no longer use the subconscious to learn only the conscious mind and its very limited in assimilating data.

Dump your phones, laptops and tvs for one week, life will be very sweet. grin

My phone is always in 0% brightness.

1. My battery

2. I'm used to it.

I can't stand my screen if it has even one iota of brightness. Except i am under the sun or seeing a video.

I thought im the only one noticing this thing cos this my eye has developed some wahala cos of smartphones, i even had to visit an eye specialist around last 2 months cos of what smartphones has done to me and he told me to get glasses to correct my vision. Well luckily for me, the new phone i got has Miravision and also BluLight defender and Adaptive Brightness so it helped reduce it. Prevention is better than cure. A stitch in time saves nine.
So who told you smart phones caused your problems?

MizMyColi:
A Silent Eye Killer

Have you considered that turning on the brightness level of your device beyond 30% could be impacting your eyes in ways that could render them useless in a not too distant future?

Are you part of my crew who just love handling their various range of smartphones and have a knack for ensuring the phone is really bright "so that it won't be too dull on the eyes?"

Have you noticed that you can reflexively close your left eye and open the right one. But it's very hard to close the right eye and open the left one....or vice versa?

Have you noticed that you view your smartphone for a while and then when you lift your head, you find that your eyes are somewhat blurry?

Chances are that the muscle of that eye is weak.
Have you also noticed that sometimes it feels like there is a stone or something in your eyes. This could be after effects of overly exposing your eyes to bright light on your smartphone, laptops and all.

It is important to ensure that you keep the brightness on your smartphone at a reasonable level.
If possible, turn it off completely whenever you can.

Research and user experiences world wide has proven that using a smartphone at night, in the dark, especially during bedtime, can actually cause the feeling of momentary blindness.

We should avoid stories that touch.

In my opinion, the eye is the most important sensory organ in the body and should be treated with utmost care, especially as regards using smartphones.

Thank you for reading.

OP,what is the solution for we wey don dey feel the side effect already.this your write up is very educative.I'm currently using glasses because of this issue.

Don't be naive. It's not. Had perfect eyesight till I started using my android on full brightness at night. Now I got bad vision in one eye at night.
So glad my smartphone runs on nougat and I got live display set up. It dims the light and filters out the blue display, giving me a more reddish look at night which helps in preventing eye damage.

Same stuff goes for laptops. Always dim your display at night. My laptop comes with a function to remove blue light from the display. Just made using my laptop at night more comfortable.

Blue light defender and miravision are Mediatek technologies
