NPower Beneficiaries Will Be Missed In Secondary Schools

The silence with respect to NPower Batch A and NPower Batch B transitioning by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs will surely affect activities in schools where NPower volunteers have contributed immensely towards positive growth and development of these schools.
Although, the management of NPower have disengaged the NPower Batch A and NPower Batch B beneficiaries, it seems the services of the disengaged NPower beneficiaries are still needed in some schools where they are deployed to across the federation.
An NPower beneficiary received an SMS from his place of primary assignment yesterday morning about a staff meeting scheduled to hold yesterday 3rd August 2020 at the school hall, agenda of the day includes preparation of the school compound ahead of school resumption, preparation of the exiting students towards their forthcoming external examination, etc.
The interesting part was that the message indicated that he is the chairman of the committee as the only male teacher in the school, but this was a big blow to his headteacher when he failed to attend the meeting.
The Ministry should have concluded NPower Batch C recruitment before exiting the NPower Batch A and NPower Batch B beneficiaries. The School will feel the pain and vacuum of resuming without NPower beneficiaries.

NPower Batch C Captured in 2021 Budget To Resume January Ends December 2021
The incoming NPower Batch C of the NPower scheme will be on-boarded January 2021, and will commence work same year.
NPower registration portal is still on, as at 3rd of August 2020, more than six million applicants have applied for NPower Batch C programme.
The Minister For Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development Sadiya Umar Farouq recently forwarded her 2021 proposed budget to the Federal Government last week.
NPower Batch C will wait for a while before being On-boarded and commence work. Apparently, there is little to no fund to commence NPower Batch C this year.
NPower Batch C application will finally end 8th of August, according to the NPower official Facebook and Twitter Handle.
NPower registration started late June, spanned through the month of July, and will officially come to an end first week of August 2020, all things being equal.
Only 400,000 applicants will make it through to the on-boarding stage, a rigid procedure is already in place to screen out unqualified applicants.
The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq is pleased to conduct a Free, fair, transparent and credible recruitment.
In no distant time, further instructions will be made known as to the next stage of the NPower recruitment exercise.
All applicants are advised to stay tuned to the official page of the scheme to get authentic and reliable information.
Nigerians have welcomed the launch of the NPower Batch C as it would avail the same opportunity to other young Nigerians to learn a skill set as well as earn stipends.

NPower Stipends: Volunteers To Wait For A While As FG Sources Funds

It is no longer news, that NPower beneficiaries, have not been paid for 2 months and even more.
Some NPower volunteers were owed since March to July, Five (5) months.
Apparently, the Federal Government is seeking for funds, to pay NPower volunteers.
The Minister for Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq has assured NPower volunteers that their stipends will be paid as soon as Federal Government allocates funds.
In a DW video chat, Umar Saidya promised to settle all NPower volunteers but due to limited resources at her disposal this promise has been cut short.
In no distant time, all NPower volunteers will be settled and official disengaged to pave way for NPower Batch C.
NPower budget embedded in the Budget of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has been exhausted.
The Ministry has planned and forwarded her spending plan to the Federal Government, which will be entrenched in the National Budget and forwarded to the National Assembly for approval.

REQUEST OF INFORMATION ON THE EXITING NPOWER BENEFICIARIES.

All Desk officers of the fourteen local Govt of Zamfara State are expected to submit a comprehensive list of all the Beneficiaries from thier LGA,s who had earlier exited the program before now. Name, Email address, Phone Number, PPA,s and reason for their early exit.

The request for the details of all exiting Zamfara N-Power is ongoing as we speak.
All Desk officers of the 14 local government area of Zamfara State are expected to submit a comprehensive list of all the N-Power volunteers from their local government areas, those N-Power beneficiaries who had earlier exited the N-Power scheme before now.

Clarification On Exited NPower Volunteers Screening

Yesterday i shared an update about an ongoing screening for exited NPower volunteers whose npvn status is on hold or displaying exited and some NPower beneficiaries were confused about the information. There is no need to be confused or terrified.
In order to give a clear insight, we have decided to create this post in clarification on the submission of an email address and phone numbers, and other details to NPower Desk Officers in their respective LGAs by the exited NPower volunteers before now.
The information only applied to NPower volunteers who were placed on hold for more than 45 days as a result of either not going to their respective PPAs or did not upload their deployment letter on their profile and which resulted in their status changing from enrolled to exited to come to the NPower Office with their email addresses and phone numbers on or before Friday 7th of August 2020.

Please take note: They are not asking for any information from those NPower beneficiaries with "enrolled status" it is only "exited beneficiaries" details that is required. If your NPower status is enrolled you are excluded.

Good afternoon Everyone!!!

Hope we are all doing great?

First off, I want to appreciate everyone of us that had been peaceful, obedient and law abiding since the beginning of our quest for permanency and exit plans grants. I specially thank you all for your participation on our social media campaigns etc.

The N-power Representatives both at the state and National level are not oblivious of what is currently on going. And most of what you are all seeing and hearing are mostly distractions, propaganda and a planned attempt to deceive the N-power volunteers from the major focus.
Secondly, the below points refers:
1. There is no submission of documents or information exercise on-going for any parts or group of N-power volunteers and any claimed to be ongoing is invalid...please do not submit your information to scammers or fraudsters.

2. N-power volunteers will not be politically orientated or empowered or even participate in any political activities as this is not our major focus, so please desist from any group or media advising you to do so.

3. The ministry had accepted the fact that June and July Stipends is yet to be paid and they are working assiduously to ensure it is paid soon.

4. The proposed Protest slated for today 6th August, 2020 was cancelled due to security issues and for the safety of all volunteers.

N/B: please let us all exercise patience and be guided accordingly...no one can achieve anything in Anger and slander, however with gradual assertions and pursuant of our goals we will achieve all. Thank you

Sequel to the announcement made by Hajiya Sadiya Farouq, on the transition of NPower volunteers into various opportunities.

The Ministry for Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has commenced the transitioning of NPower volunteers of Batch A and B into government entrepreneurship schemes and engaging private sector bodies to absorb some of the NPower volunteers after the completion of psychometric assessment to determine competency and placement into various opportunities.

As a result of that, it is very important that all the NPower beneficiaries undergoing the screening exercise take safety precautions to protect themselves from COVID-19. The Coronavirus is very much around.

Though some states have made it easy for the NPower volunteers by not doing the screening physically, some states are still conducting physical screening. If your state is conducting a physical screening, please take the following safety precaution:

1) Wear a face mask
2) Maintain social distancing
3) Sanitize your hands before going out and wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water when back from the screening.
The Ministry of humanitarian affairs, disaster management, and social development are exploring opportunities with some MDAs such as the CBN, State government, and private sectors for the NPower beneficiaries.
