At excatly 4:40pm on Monday, Acting President Yemi Osinbajo signed the 2017 budget into law. The budget of ₦7,441,175,486,758 was passed by the senate and house of reps on the 11th of May, 2017.

Senate President Bukola Saraki; Yakubu Dogara, speaker of the house of representatives; Udoma Udoma, minister of budget and national planning; Lai Mohammed, minister of information; Abba Kyari, chief of staff to President Muhammadu Buhari and Kemi Adeosun, minister of finance, witnessed the signing of the appropriation bill.

No wonder we are still backwards, approving a budget meant for 2017 in the middle of the year.

Shame on all those who previously referred to Osinbajo as mere commissioner and coordinator. The mere commissioner is now doing wonders for the nation.

I hope the budget will impact and transform lives of Nigerians economically.
