Lol, all these you mentioned are insignificant in the current world we live today as they can't do Jack to boost an economy. And if you do your research, these very few you mentioned are probably going to be found majorly in ebonyi state, which proves my point.

You are shifting goal post

You asked for one mineral we have and I gave you 3

Now answer this question

What resources do Japan has.?

Did you see the part I put "excluding oil"?..

Now, mention the Important natural resources the South East has when compared to the middle belt?

I am waiting.
What Igbos lack in natural resources they have in human resources. Google and facebook can buy the whole of Nigeria and they are not even a country.

IGR does not mean you are rich

Pay salaries and pensions if you are rich

Anambra is not owing salaries and pensions

But Ogun state claiming huge IGR can't pay common salaries and pensions

As for becoming Japan, well it is up to you guys.

Well, I have better things to discuss

Biafra has come to stay and will be the first African nation to catch up with the advanced nations in 10years

With the help of Israel, we will be like US in 10years.

Well, most Nigerian states are owing salaries due to bad leadership.

Come to my state, delta State and see that despite being one of the richest, it still backwards in development due to bad leadership.

So being able to pay salaries now doesn't mean one will become Japan overnight.

Anyways, my point is that when it comes to natural resources, the states with the most natural resources excluding oil, are the middle belt states.

I am glad you even brought this to buttress my point.

Now from the link you provided, you can see that the SE states like abia, enugu, imo has very little natural resources except oil when compared to benue, nassarawa, plataeu, bauchi , kwara and Niger states.

Food resources weren't even mentioned there o.

As for being like El dorado, that's why i said I was shocked that the region is not among the richest states in Nigeria

You guys are just too childish and emotional. Who cares what biafra will look like? Every man wants his region to be the best, however, despite I am not from the middle belt, it doesn't stop me from stating the fact that the region is highly blessed with natural resources.

Lol,i am from the Niger delta region. So sorry.

BTW, you are the one who mentioned me, I didn't even notice you.

As for israel:

The natural resources of Israel include potash, copper ore, natural gas, phosphate rock, magnesium bromide, clays, and sand. Cut diamonds are among the leading exports of the country. The country is dependent on crude oil and raw material imports

http://www.azomining.com/Article.aspx?ArticleID=234

Israel is highly advanced in technology but still depends on crude oil exports.

So, if biafra wants to be like Israel in 2minutes, no one cares. Everyone carries their cross

Your tribe can join Middle Belt republic

Biafra will become a first world nation in 10years

For the south south, south south and south east, It all depends on who steers the ship of leadership first. If you get the wrong person has your first leader then it wouldnt matter whether you have oil or not.

It is visible to the blind and obvious to the ignorant that this your fictitious projection is clouded with sentiments. No reader needs to be told where the writer hails from. However, let me state a few facts that should set you firmly in the direction of reality, conditioned you open your mind to see;

1. Nigerians started with the divide of ethnicity, moved further to religion, moved further to tribe, still moved further to smaller groups within tribes and even further to family lines and most recently from political parties to interest groups....why is there so much unrest in Delta(Warri)? what do you think caused the political tension during the state elections in Cross river? Even the north cannot jointly present one generally accepted candidate during national election. State governor is fighting the senate representative of from the state.

2. Despite all the money that Jonathan pumped into the Niger Delta during his tenure when crude oil rate was still very favourable, nothing sustainable/tangible was done to engage the youths now. The oil companies operating in the Niger/Delta settle to have their ways but where does the money go? to the building of a private university in Benin republic (Very tragic)

We all have eyes that we carry about open but please, let's all begin to see!

We are still talking about natural resources right Nigerian government listed it out and instead of standing by your original argument of "SE not having natural resources " you are recanting on them having very little as if the quantity was listed there.
Are we also talking about food here.?

The bolded is the reason why I say that most nairalanders argue without facts and reasoning. I don't know why you have to lie again.

Now, this is part of what I said:

dragonking2:
Lol, but you're right. I checked statistics and found out that both the South East and core north lands are not so blessed with natural resources. The core north needs the middle belt while the south east needs the Niger delta region to survive when we break up.

Show me where in this thread I stated that the SE doesn't have any natural resources or forever keep shut.

The Southwest is already preparing for 10 years ahead and beyond.

ICT, E-Commerce and industrialization supported by service based companies are the future and we already have started on this path.

I don't know what these other regions are still waiting for.........busy dreaming like the @ OP I guess.

Lol @ some people still thinking dirty, rowdy markets with 2x2 shops, hard drug proceeds is what runs the economy of Lagos/Ogun.

12Monkeys:

Biafrans have a huge advantage and let me state why:

1. They fought twice to establish their nation. It wasn't handed down to them and so they will be starting on a highly patriotic note. The Igbos as you are aware are the only source of any meaningful development back in their home states and villages unlike the case of Odua and Arewa which depend heavily on migrant Igbos and govt subsidy. So issues of tax revenue in a legitimate Igbo nation will not be hard to generate. Igbos I know com together to contribute their money in age groups to send back to their villages to execute one project or the other. What do you think they will do in a Biafran nation where they know their pride is at stake?

2. No natural resources to squabble about. Of course there is oil but not enough to export and meet their needs. The new state will not be exporting but using the little oil they have to conserve much needed forex and you are aware that natural resources in Africa have been the primary reasons for the continents several conflicts

3. A highly independent minded individual population who will not wait for govt but do their part thereby freeing the new govt from performing useless subsidies.

Now I have to address the insult you heaped on a whole region - Niger Delta when you stated we lack the intellectual resources to lead ourselves. I won't educate you because obviously you don tey for lagos and maybe your family tree is filled with the stereotypical ogogoro palm wine tappers. Can any governor match Duke or Akpabio?

Fool
You mentioned how religious fundamentalism will be the bane of Arewa, but failed to put into consideration how much Biafra will suffer from the average igbo man's criminal tendencies. Or how do you think the region will fare when millions of Evans and those developing other nations return home to perpetuate their kidnapping, robbery and drug business at home? Not to even make mention of possible proliferation of baby factories. The crime rate go worst pass Venezuela own.
